The reduction in toll rates begins this Wednesday (1st) at toll plazas in eight municipalities in the interior of São Paulo. The largest drop will be in Jaguariúna, where the amount goes from R$ 17.60 to R$ 8.80. There will also be changes in Águas da Prata, Estiva Gerbi, Espírito Santo do Pinhal, Itobi, Casa Branca, Mococa, and Aguaí.

The toll became cheaper starting this Wednesday (1st) at plazas in eight municipalities in the interior of São Paulo, with reductions reaching 50% in the amount paid by drivers.

Jaguariúna will have the largest drop

The biggest change occurs in Jaguariúna. The rate, which was previously R$ 17.60, now costs R$ 8.80. The reduction represents half of the previous amount.

There will also be cuts in Águas da Prata, where the price drops from R$ 6.30 to R$ 4.60, and in Estiva Gerbi, from R$ 10.50 to R$ 7.80.

In Espírito Santo do Pinhal, the rate goes from R$ 13.10 to R$ 10.45. In Itobi, the amount drops from R$ 13.40 to R$ 10.75.

Lower toll also applies to Casa Branca, Mococa, and Aguaí

Other plazas are included in the change. In Casa Branca, the charge goes from R$ 9.40 to R$ 8.15. In Mococa, it drops from R$ 8.90 to R$ 8.10.

In Aguaí, the amount will be reduced from R$ 6.60 to R$ 6.30. Meanwhile, in São João da Boa Vista, the rate remains at R$ 7.40.

Charge now reaches more users

The change replaces the point-to-point system, previously limited to a specific section of the highway, with a broad model for all users passing through the plazas.

The director of Artesp, Raquel Carneiro, stated that the measure is part of a public policy by the Government of São Paulo to seek fairer rates for users.
