Exclusive discount for buyers with disabilities reduces the price of Fiat’s compact sedan to levels below those of the Chevrolet Onix Plus 2026, making the Cronos one of the most attractive options in the segment for those entitled to the tax benefit provided by law for people with disabilities.

Fiat has launched a special discount campaign for the Cronos exclusively for the PwD (People with Disabilities) audience, with reductions reaching R$ 25,000 off the list price, positioning the compact sedan imported from Argentina as one of the most competitive options in the segment for those entitled to the tax benefit guaranteed by law to this segment of the Brazilian population.

In the intermediate version Drive 1.3 AT, the discounted price dropped from R$ 118,990 to R$ 95,378 at dealerships in São Paulo and ABC Paulista, representing a reduction of over R$ 23,000 compared to the original list price, making the Cronos more accessible than the rival Chevrolet Onix Plus 2026, which starts at R$ 106,790 in the entry-level version.

In Recife (PE), the conditions are equally advantageous for PwD buyers, with units of the Cronos Drive 1.0 available for R$ 91,416, well below the list price of R$ 108,990, a difference of more than R$ 17,000 that highlights the real impact that the tax benefit for people with disabilities can have on the decision to purchase a new vehicle in Brazil.

The Cronos is a three-volume sedan derived from the Fiat Argo platform and fully imported from Argentina, where it is produced by the same factory that supplies the Brazilian market and other South American countries, with a generous trunk of 525 liters that represents one of the main advantages of the model compared to competing hatchbacks in the entry segment.

As with any vehicle in the PwD category, it is essential that interested buyers confirm the prices and conditions available directly at dealerships in their region, as values may vary according to local stock, specific tax benefits of each state, and ongoing campaigns at the time of negotiation and purchase completion.

Engine and consumption of the Cronos in the available versions

In the Drive 1.0 version, the Cronos is equipped with a three-cylinder engine that develops up to 75 hp of power, delivering consumption averages of 13.4 km/l in the city and 15.9 km/l on the highway with gasoline, numbers that position the sedan as an economically efficient option for those who mainly use the vehicle in urban environments and medium-distance daily routes.

The Drive 1.3 AT version, equipped with the four-cylinder Firefly engine, develops 107 hp of power and is capable of accelerating from zero to 100 km/h in just 11 seconds with ethanol, a satisfactory performance for a compact sedan that seeks to balance fuel consumption efficiency with the ability to offer a more dynamic driving experience in daily life.

From the entry-level version Drive 1.0, the Cronos already comes standard with a 7-inch multimedia center with wireless mirroring, progressive electric steering, and rear parking sensor, a set of items that represents a good level of equipment for an entry-level sedan and contributes to the model’s favorable cost-benefit perception among consumers.

The Drive 1.3 AT configuration adds cruise control and Full LED headlights to the standard equipment, refinements that enhance comfort and safety especially on intercity trips, while the top-of-the-line Precision adds digital air conditioning with pollen filter, four airbags, and a more sophisticated and complete interior finish.

Cronos in the market and competition with the Chevrolet Onix Plus

The competition between the Cronos and the Chevrolet Onix Plus is one of the fiercest in the compact sedan segment in Brazil, with both models alternating in the preference of consumers who need a vehicle with more interior space and a larger trunk than hatchbacks offer, but without the high price of compact SUVs that dominate registrations.

With the PcD discounts in effect, the Cronos now has a significant price advantage over the Onix Plus even in its intermediate versions, which can significantly influence the purchasing decisions of those who meet the legal criteria for acquiring vehicles with tax exemption for people with physical, visual, auditory, or mental disabilities.

The tax benefit for PcD buyers in Brazil includes exemption from IPI and ICMS (in many states), as well as reductions in other taxes levied on the purchase of new vehicles, making the price difference between a PcD vehicle and a conventional vehicle often exceed R$ 20,000, depending on the model and the rate applied in the buyer’s state.

Fiat’s campaign for the Cronos reflects the automaker’s strategy to maintain the competitiveness of the compact sedan in a market that, despite the dominance of SUVs and crossovers in recent years, still presents solid and consistent demand from buyers who value efficiency, reduced maintenance costs, and the generous interior space that sedans offer.

Imported from Argentina with quality and finish recognized by Brazilian buyers as superior to the segment average, the Cronos remains a solid choice for families, freelancers, and PcD buyers looking for a reliable, economical, and well-equipped vehicle, especially when commercial conditions reduce the final price to such attractive levels as those currently available at dealerships.
