The demand for tickets usually increases between December and January, a period of school vacations and higher passenger flow, according to information released by the concessionaire and associations that monitor the railway sector.

Demand and Tickets for the Vitória-Minas Train
Tickets for departures until December 24 are available through Vale’s official channels.
Recent surveys indicate high demand in the executive class, which has few available seats for various dates this month.
For November, there were only available seats on November 17.
In December, there was limited availability on the days of 9, 10, and 17, according to data released by the operator’s sales systems.
In economy class, there are still spots available for all dates in December.
Industry experts claim that this category usually has a higher supply due to the larger number of seats per car.
Ticket Prices and Available Categories
Tickets between Belo Horizonte and Cariacica maintain prices recently announced by Vale: R$ 111 in the executive class and R$ 81 in the economy class.
The categories differ by level of comfort, space between seats, and internal configuration of each car.
According to technical information from the operator, the executive class features a more spacious environment and lower occupancy per car.
The economy class accommodates more passengers, maintaining the same boarding and disembarking points along the route.
Railway Route Between Minas Gerais and Espírito Santo
The train departs daily in the morning from the stations of Belo Horizonte and Cariacica, following the 664-kilometer route via the Vitória to Minas Railway.
The average travel time is approximately 13 hours, varying depending on departure time, operational conditions, and movement at intermediate stations.
The line serves municipalities such as João Monlevade, Ipatinga, Governador Valadares, and Aimorés in Minas Gerais.
It also passes through cities in Espírito Santo that serve as connection points to the metropolitan area of Vitória and nearby tourist areas.
Public records of the railway indicate about 30 official boarding and disembarking stops.
Operation of the New Night Train
To reinforce the offer during periods of higher passenger circulation, Vale plans to operate a night train in the months of January and July.
This initiative complies with requirements set forth in the negotiation of the new concession contract of the Vitória to Minas Railway with the National Land Transport Agency (ANTT).
Ticket sales for the night service are expected to begin on November 15, according to organizations monitoring the railway sector.
Detailed schedules have not yet been officially disclosed by the company.
Representatives from railway workers’ associations express expectation for departures around 8 PM but emphasize that adjustments depend on confirmation from the concessionaire and the ANTT.
Services and Structure Onboard the Train
The Vitória-Minas train offers onboard service with the sale of snacks and beverages via carts that circulate throughout the cars.
There is also a restaurant car, where simple meals, snacks, and breakfast are served depending on the time of travel.
The composition includes a car adapted for people with disabilities, with space designated for wheelchair users and accessibility equipment.
Most cars have air conditioning and numbered seats, which facilitates the boarding flow at intermediate stops.
Vale advises that tickets be purchased in advance, as same-day sales are not available at the stations.
