Paranรก is about to experience a milestone in its transportation infrastructure. A grand project, which promises to transform mobility and boost the regional economy, has finally received the green light.
The red-foot train, a project that promises to connect 13 municipalities in the northern region of the state, is in the execution phase after a revealing study carried out by the Economic Research Institute Foundation (Fipe).
With the capacity to transport up to 36 passengers per day, this ambitious project traces a 151-kilometer-long route, along a path parallel to the railway currently operated by Rumo.

But what exactly is at stake with this project? What are the real benefits it will bring to the inhabitants of Paranรก and, especially, to the citizens who live in connected cities?
The red-foot train is not just an infrastructure project: it represents a paradigm shift in rail transport in the region, aiming to solve mobility problems and contribute to the state's economic growth.
Mobility and development for the Northern Region of Paranรก
According to TNOnline portal, the initial forecast is that the train will meet significant demand, carrying 36 thousand passengers per day on its route.
According to experts, this means a direct impact on improving the quality of life of the local population., as many depend on public transport to travel between municipalities in the region.
The project covers cities of great importance, such as Paiรงandu and Ibiporรฃ, and will provide an efficient solution for the growing traffic, reducing overload on highways and promoting interconnection between different locations.
In a meeting with the Secretariat of Railway Transport, linked to the Ministry of Transport, several political and administrative actors met to discuss the details of the project.
Among the participants was federal deputy Luรญsa Canziani (PSD-PR), who stated that the work has the potential to transform not only public transport, but also the local economy.
She highlighted that the red-foot train is a strategic project that aims to increase agility in the transportation of passengers and cargo, contributing to the reduction of operational costs and promoting the region's competitiveness.
Technology and agility: the future of rail transport
The proposal for the red-foot train goes beyond the simple construction of a new railway line.
The project includes the construction of two parallel rails to the existing line, significantly increasing transport capacity.
With a speed of up to 160 km/h, the train will have an average of 115 km/h, considering the stops.
This means that travel between municipalities will be faster and more efficient., directly impacting peopleโs routines and the movement of goods.
Furthermore, the project foresees the interconnection between Londrina and Maringรก airports, creating a multimodal system that will enable quick connections between rail and air transport.
This integration is seen as an innovation that will benefit not only passengers, but also the regional economy, facilitating the flow of products and services.
The impact on the labor market and job creation
One of the most positive aspects of the red-foot train is its ability to generate employment and boost the local economy.
It is estimated that around 30 thousand jobs will be created in the first years of the train's operation., both during construction and in the operation and maintenance phase.
Commercial exploitation of the right-of-way will also contribute to economic growth, bringing new business opportunities to the municipalities involved.
Regional mobilization and growth expectations
The excitement surrounding the project is palpable.
Danaรช โโFernandes, Secretary of Public Security and Transportation of Cambรฉ, stated that the regional leadership is deeply engaged in the project, which promises to be one of the greatest infrastructure milestones in the history of the State.
The initiative has mobilized various sectors of society, from municipal and state governments to the population, who see the red train as the possibility of a more connected, more efficient and more prosperous region.
Challenges and uncertainties ahead on the red-foot train
Of course, not everything is perfect. Like any major infrastructure project, the red-foot train will face significant challenges.
Carrying out a project of this size requires significant financial resources and complex logistics.
Furthermore, the adaptation of the cities involved to the new transport and infrastructure demands will require careful planning and collaboration between different levels of government.
However, the confidence of local leaders and experts is high, and many believe the benefits will outweigh the challenges.
The transformation that is coming with the red-foot train
The red-foot train represents a profound change for Paranรก, not only in terms of mobility, but also in how people live, work and connect with each other.
If the plans are fulfilled, the work will not only make life easier for the people of Paranรก, but will also place the state on a new level in terms of modernizing its transport infrastructure.
The future of transportation in Paranรก is about to change radically. But what will be the real impact of this project on the region's residents?
Under-rails???? Wouldn't it be Over-rails?
It would be very interesting to use a more economical and environmentally friendly means of transport... Approved!!! I hope it actually comes to fruition and is not just another โprojectโ!!!
I THOUGHT IT WAS VERY GOOD. A PLACE THAT URGENTLY NEEDS TO TAKE TRUCKS OFF THE STREETS IS IN THE PORT REGION. I WENT TO BRUSQUE (SC) AND PARANAGUร (PR) AND I FOUND IT TO BE HELL. MY GOD, THERE IS SO DANGEROUS NEAR NAVEGANTES AND THE REGION. CONTAINERS ARE SUPER VIABLE ON TRACKS, WITH FEWER DEATHS AND ACCIDENTS AMONG TRUCKS. LIFE WILL THANK YOU. NOT TO MENTION THE QUALITY OF THE ASPHALT.
