How Does The Selection Process Work?
The selection for Ufal’s free courses will be conducted in one single stage, based on the grades obtained in Portuguese Language and Mathematics in High School. There will be no in-person exam.
According to Lilian Figueiredo Voss, coordinator of UAB/Ufal, the process was developed to facilitate access to higher education. “This offering reinforces the Ufal‘s commitment to distance education and teacher training, allowing more professionals to access qualifications,” she explained.
In addition to the high school grades, there will be reserved spots for public network teachers, ensuring that educators have priority in the selection.
The vice-coordinator of Cied, Camila Silva, highlighted the modernization of the registration system: “This year, the entire process will be 100% online, including document submission. This makes the selection faster and more accessible for all candidates.”
How Much Does The Registration Cost?
The registration fee is R$ 30.00, but candidates who are part of the Single Register for Social Programs of the Federal Government (CadÚnico) and have a per capita family income of up to half a minimum wage can request a waiver of the fee.
Additionally, the announcement provides for quotas for different groups, including low-income candidates, people with disabilities, and other categories specified in the selection process guidelines.
