The Southwest Bahia State University (UESB) launched Notice No. 349/2024 for the special admission selection process in the free undergraduate courses in mathematics, physics and technology in systems analysis and development (ADS). The offer is carried out in partnership with the Open University of Brazil (UAB/CAPES) and provides a total of 222 places in the online modality (EAD), with mandatory face-to-face meetings.
Free online courses (EAD) aim to train professionals to work in basic education or in technological areas. The total workload is 8 semesters for undergraduate courses and 5 semesters for the technology course. The methodology combines distance learning, through a Virtual Learning Environment (VLE), with in-person activities, such as conferences, seminars and assessments.
Available vacancies and locations
The notice includes 222 vacancies, 47 for Physics, 25 for Mathematics and 150 for ADS Technologist. The opportunities are distributed among the hubs of Brumado, Itapetinga, Ipiaú, Jacaraci, Macaúbas, Barreiras and others.

Selection process
Selection for free online undergraduate courses (EAD) is based on the analysis of the resumes of teachers and professionals in basic education and the academic performance of candidates in their school records or equivalent exams. There are reserved places for affirmative action, such as black people, indigenous people, quilombolas and people with disabilities, in addition to broad competition.
Application requirements
To apply, candidates must have completed high school and have basic computer skills. They must have access to the internet, and must present documents such as ID, CPF, academic transcript and proof of residence.
