The Federal University of Amazonas (UFAM) announces the selection process for the Specialization Course in Rural Education – Emphasis on Pedagogical Practices, according to Notice No. 091/2024-PROPESP/UFAM. 80 places are offered, divided equally between the municipalities of Boa Vista do Ramos and Careiro Castanho. The free, in-person course is a unique opportunity for professionals specialized in training and development in the area of multi-grade education in the field.
The 15-month course aims to improve pedagogical practices in multi-grade education in the countryside. It will be scheduled in person, with monthly meetings in the two indicated municipalities. The program includes theoretical classes, forums, seminars and assessments, totaling a workload of 360 hours.

These vacancies are external exclusively for professionals linked to Rural Education, such as teachers in multi-grade schools or participants in the Escola da Terra Program.
Selection process
The selection will consist of three stages:
- Approval of registrations: analysis of the documentation presented.
- Memorial Analysis: assessment that can total up to 100 points, considering experience in the area, academic production and professional performance.
- Submission of supporting documentation: only for candidates called in the previous stage.
Tiebreaker criteria include the highest grade in the memorial, older age and length of service in Rural Education.
The focus is on developing innovative pedagogical practices for teachers working in multi-grade schools in the countryside, aligned with the objectives of the Escola da Terra Program.
Application requirements
Teachers who work in Rural Education or in the Escola da Terra Program, linked to the Municipal Department of Education of Boa Vista do Ramos or Careiro Castanho, may participate in the selection process. It is necessary to have completed a refresher course in the area and not be enrolled in another lato sensu or stricto sensu postgraduate course at a public institution.

- Appeals on Homologations: January 28th and 29th, 2025
- Memorial Analysis: January 31 to February 04, 2025
- Preliminary Result: February 11, 2025
- Submission of Appeals: February 12th and 13th, 2025
- Final List of Approved Candidates: February 17, 2025
- Submission of Documentation for Enrollment: February 18-21, 2025
- Classes Start: March 25, 2025
