The Federal University of Espírito Santo (UFES) is offering new free courses with certificates. These are a great opportunity for those looking to enhance their knowledge in various areas and, in this way, update their resumes to remain competitive in the job market. This initiative is part of the celebrations for the university’s 69th anniversary.
What Free Courses With Certificates Does UFES Offer?
With workloads of 15, 30, 45, and 60 hours, students can choose from topics such as languages, well-being, health, education, gastronomy, communication and marketing, and financial and sales culture, subjects that are in high demand in the job market.
All UFES free courses are in the Massive Open Online Course (MOOC) format, in Portuguese, and their features include not requiring any prior knowledge and not having tutoring, meaning that the content does not require the oversight of a teacher.

The Voice of the Other: Practice of Fluency and Rhythm in Libras/Portuguese
In this course, a Libras user will have the chance to practice mediation using the voice, also called direct interpretation. The aim of the course is to help the student feel more secure when needing to present the voice of someone communicating in Libras.
Playing with a Garden in Early Childhood Education: Learning from Nature
This course invites students to develop a formative experience intensifying pedagogical practices of intertwining play with nature in the garden, interrelating the human with nature, starting from early childhood education, generating ethical, political, aesthetic, cultural, social, and environmental possibilities for learning.
How to Enroll in UFES’s Free Courses
The page of the Federal University of Espírito Santo also states that soon registrations will open for four more courses: Google Sheets Online, Connection with the Political-Pedagogical Project, Excel, Grief and Mental Health, and Research Methodology: From Theory to Practice.
To enroll, it is necessary to fill out the registration on UFES’s page dedicated to free courses with certificates. Once on the site, interested parties should click on “enroll now,” and if they are already users, just provide their email and password.
However, for the first access, it is necessary to register an account that requires creating a username and password along with details such as full name, city, email, state, and CPF or passport number.
After filling in the details, select the checkbox to indicate that you are not a robot and click to create an account. Once the registration is completed, you will be able to participate in the courses at the Federal University of Espírito Santo. These trainings not only increase the chances of obtaining a job but can also be used as complementary hours in college.
Structure of Free Courses With Certificates
Each program includes its learning track with the list of topics to be studied. Regarding the platform interface, the coordinator of this project, Professor Fabiana Ramos, explains that the site is intuitive and attractive, designed for everyone to use without difficulties.
UFES informs that the average time to complete each course is about 30 days. Students are entitled to a certificate, provided they achieve a minimum performance of 70%. The issuance of the document is online and free, making life easier for everyone and contributing to the swift addition to their resumes.
