Vale Calls Candidates Without Experience for First Job Openings in Its Young Apprentice Program Available in Seven Brazilian States

Are You Looking for That Dream First Job? Don’t Worry, Mining Company Vale Has Openings for Its Young Apprentice Program 2021 in Seven Brazilian States

This Monday (17), Vale opened applications for its Young Apprentice Program, where the mining company offers various opportunities for access to the first job. There will be approximately 1,000 openings distributed across the states of Pará, Maranhão, Mato Grosso do Sul, Minas Gerais, Bahia, Espírito Santo, and Rio de Janeiro. Vale stated that the Young Apprentice program is a great gateway to enter the company. Moreover, the Young Apprentice prepares young people for the labor market, which is becoming increasingly demanding.

Young Apprentice Program for Access to First Job at Vale

Those interested in the Young Apprentice Program must be between 18 and 22 years old and have completed high school. It is important to note that applicants must apply for openings in the state where they reside, even with many locations working 100% remotely. Another requirement from Vale is to have availability for 6 hours of daily work.

In total, the Young Apprentice Program for first jobs at Vale will last two years, providing access to practical and theoretical training in the areas of administrative services, industrial electromechanics, and equipment operation. Young people will be accompanied by technical mentors from Vale for most of their first jobs. The application period will last until May 31.

Applying is simple; just visit Vale’s website, go to the young apprentice option, and select “Other Vacancies in Brazil.” You will be redirected to another page where you can select the city where you reside.

Next, you will enter some details about yourself, your experience, skills, and some questions related to the Young Apprentice. You can select up to three course options to learn, including electronics, electrotechnics, applied logistics, civil construction, welding, mechanics, and electrical.

Stages of the Selection Process at Vale and Benefits Offered

The selection process will have 6 stages conducted online.

  • Applications – May 17 to 31;
  • Online Assessments (Profile Test, Portuguese, and Mathematics) – May;
  • Online Group Dynamics – June;
  • Virtual Panel with Managers – June and July;
  • Admission Medical Exams – August and September;
  • Results Announcement – Starting in September;

In the Young Apprentice program, for access to the first job, Vale offers several benefits, including medical assistance, meal vouchers or on-site cafeteria, transportation vouchers or transportation provided at the workplace, life insurance, and support through an employee assistance program.
