Sindipetro Demands Explanations About Trident Energy And The Oil And Gas Platform Incident P-65
Sindipetro-NF stated that it demanded a position from Trident regarding the incident as a representative of workers on the P-65 oil platform.
“The platform was on fire, and several liters were spilled into the sea, which also caught fire,” said the president of Sindipetro-NF, Tezeu Bezerra, who described the occurrence as a “serious accident.”
The P-65 belonged to Petrobras, which completed the sale of the asset to Trident in July 2020, along with ten fields that make up the Pampo and Enchova Polos and other platforms in the Campos Basin, as part of the state-owned oil company’s billion-dollar divestment plan.
Trident Energy, which received investments from private equity firm Warburg Pincus, focuses on the exploration of mature oil and gas assets, with operations in Latin America and Africa, according to information from the company’s website.
