A large smoke screen can be seen from other units operating in the surroundings on this 18th, Trident Energy Brazil reports that there were no victims or damage to the platform
Click Oil and Gas received today (18) a video of the P-65 platform allegedly on fire, recorded from other units around. This platform was from Petrobras and was sold to Trident Energy in July 2019 along with PPM-1, PCE-1, and P-8. In the recording below, it is possible to observe a large smoke screen on the side, which ended up creating several theories and fake news on social media.
The caption of the video described that a helicopter caught fire on the helipad of the P-65, falling into the sea and consequently killing 6 people. Many messages started coming into our official groups on WhatsApp and Telegram about the veracity of this information. We confirm that these messages are false!
