The CEO of Abimaq, José Velloso, stated that “After a long time, around seven years without investing, companies need to renew the industrial park. Otherwise, the park becomes obsolete and productivity falls. Much of the sales of machinery for the industry comes from the renewal of an obsolete industrial park,” while explaining why machinery sales continue to increase without raising the investment rate.

Of the total R$ 12.5 billion, R$ 9.6 billion came from sales to the Brazilian internal market, which is 50.8% higher than in January 2020.
