Volkswagen Wants to Sue Chinese Automaker for Shamelessly Making an Electric Copy of the Iconic Beetle
The multinational Volkswagen is not at all pleased with the electric car manufacturer ORA. The Chinese industry has yet to abandon some old habits, as the Chinese manufacturer presented a clone of the Beetle at the Shanghai Auto Show, named ORA Punk Cat, a vehicle that shares the same features as the iconic car from the German automaker VW.
It is evident that ORA was inspired—if not shamelessly copying—the features of the Volkswagen Beetle in its new Punk Cat. The curvy hood design, rounded headlights, and the shape of the rear, complete with oval taillights, all reminiscent of the old beetle.
