SENAR opens 3,314 spots in free EAD technical courses recognized by MEC in the 2026.2 Selection Process with selection without exam.

In 2026, the National Rural Learning Service, SENAR, opened 3,314 free spots for technical courses at the high school level in different agribusiness areas through the 2026.2 Selection Process of the e-Tec Brazil Network. Registrations are open until May 26, and the selection takes place without a traditional exam, using only document analysis and candidates’ school history. The information is in the Official Notice No. 004/2026 released by the institution.

The courses are recognized by the Ministry of Education and combine distance learning with mandatory in-person activities at regional centers spread across various Brazilian states. The hybrid model allows students to complete most of the training online, reducing travel costs and expanding access to professional technical qualification.

SENAR opens 3,314 spots in free EAD technical courses recognized by MEC throughout Brazil

The 2026.2 Selection Process of the e-Tec Network of SENAR offers spots in free technical courses in both EAD and in-person modalities. According to the official selection process portal, the opportunities are distributed in centers located in 20 states and the Federal District.

The free EAD technical courses account for the majority of the spots open in this edition. The hybrid format adopted by SENAR follows the guidelines of the e-Tec Brazil Network and requires that at least 20% of the course load be in-person, including assessments, practical classes, and mandatory field activities.

According to the official notice, candidates need to have completed high school to participate in the selection. Priority is given to rural producers, their families, and collaborators linked to the rural environment, but remaining spots can also be filled by the general public.

SENAR also informs that the courses are recognized by MEC and were structured to meet strategic areas of Brazilian agribusiness, a sector that remains among the most relevant for the national economy and for generating specialized technical jobs.

What are the free EAD technical courses offered by SENAR in the 2026.2 Selection Process

The SENAR notice offers seven technical courses in the EAD modality with mandatory in-person meetings. The training covers areas related to agricultural production, livestock, safety, and rural management.

The officially offered EAD technical courses are:

  • Agriculture Technician
  • Agribusiness Technician
  • Agricultural Technician
  • Forestry Technician
  • Fruit Growing Technician
  • Work Safety Technician in Agriculture
  • Animal Science Technician

According to the data published by the selection process, the course with the highest number of vacancies is the Animal Science Technician, with 905 opportunities distributed across dozens of centers. Next are Agriculture, Work Safety in Agriculture, and Farming.

The Agricultural Technician course has 709 vacancies, while Work Safety in Agriculture totals 560 vacancies. Farming has 420 vacancies, and Agribusiness offers 360 opportunities in this edition. Meanwhile, Fruit Growing has 150 vacancies, and Forestry totals 120 available vacancies.

In addition to the distance learning courses, the announcement also includes in-person courses in Agriculture and Forestry in Mato Grosso do Sul.

How the hybrid model of SENAR’s technical distance learning courses works

Although the courses are classified as distance learning, the model adopted by SENAR is not entirely remote. The institution explains that students need to attend in-person centers to complete mandatory activities required by Brazilian educational legislation.

According to the announcement, at least 20% of the workload occurs in person. This includes practical classes, in-person assessments, laboratory activities, and field exercises related to the chosen technical course.

Most of the subjects, however, can be followed online through the SENAR e-Tec Network educational platform. This format significantly reduces the need for frequent travel, allowing many students to balance work and studies throughout their education.

Another advantage pointed out by the institution is the presence of centers in regions directly linked to agricultural activity. This facilitates contact with real practices in the sector and enhances the integration between technical training and the rural job market.

SENAR’s selection process takes place without an exam and uses school transcript analysis

One of the points that drew the most attention in the 2026.2 Selection Process is the fact that there is no entrance exam or traditional objective test. The selection will be carried out through document analysis and criteria established by SENAR’s regional administrations.

To participate, candidates must present personal documents, a high school completion certificate, and a school transcript. All documentation must be digitally attached to the official registration system.

According to the notice, illegible, incomplete, or incompatible documents with the requirements may lead to the candidate’s elimination. The institution also informs that it is not possible to change the files after the registration is completed.

Another important detail is that candidates with active enrollment in SENAR technical courses or those whose enrollment was canceled in the last two years cannot participate in this selection.

The classification and tie-breaking criteria may vary according to each SENAR regional, following specific regulations disclosed by the state administrations.

Who can participate in the free SENAR technical courses in 2026

The notice states that native or naturalized Brazilians who have completed high school can participate. Proof of documentation is mandatory to complete the registration in the selection process.

SENAR prioritizes candidates with proven rural ties, including rural producers, family members, and collaborators linked to agricultural activities. For this, the candidate must present specific documents related to rural activity.

Among the accepted documents are the National Family Agriculture Registry, Annual Producer Declaration, CCIR, and other proofs required by regional administrations.

If there are vacancies left after the priority filling, candidates from the general public can also be called for enrollment, provided they meet the notice’s requirements and correctly present all mandatory documentation.

The initiative is part of the professional qualification policy aimed at the Brazilian agribusiness, a sector that continues to demand specialized technical labor in agricultural, livestock, environmental, and occupational safety areas.

Registrations for the free SENAR EAD technical courses are open until May 26

Registrations are free and must be made exclusively online, through the official page of the SENAR e-Tec selection process.

According to the official schedule, the deadline ends at 11:59 PM on May 26, 2026, considering Brasília time.

The notice also informs that each candidate can only make one registration linked to their own CPF. In centers offering more than one course, there is the possibility to choose a second training option in order of preference.

The preliminary results are expected to be released on June 10, while the final result is scheduled for June 18, 2026. The period for in-person enrollments takes place between June 19 and 27. Classes officially start on July 21, 2026.
