Weg, one of the largest manufacturers of electrical equipment in the world, has just announced a strategic move that strengthens its growth plans. The company confirmed an investment of R$ 160 million aimed at its unit in Linhares, in the state of Espírito Santo, with the clear goal of strengthening its production.

The Pillars of the Investment

The investment plan of Weg for the factory in Espírito Santo is robust and future-focused. Most of the funds will be used for the construction of a new industrial building and to expand the production of electric motors at the unit.

According to the official statement, the investment focuses on vertical integration of production. This means the company will start to internally produce essential components, such as the wires used in electric motors. This measure aims to increase control over the production chain and optimize manufacturing.

The new structure has a well-defined timeline. The expectation is that operations will begin in 2027. From there, Weg plans a gradual increase in production capacity, aligned with the projected expansion for the manufacture of electric motors in the coming years.
