The 288 WEG Motors Were Installed at the Cargill Factory in São Paulo, Currently the Largest Pectin Manufacturing Plant in the Americas
WEG, one of the largest manufacturers of turbines and electric motors in the world, supplied 288 motors from the WELL and W60 lines to Cargill. Located in Bebedouro, in the interior of São Paulo, the pectin factory is the first built by the company outside Europe, with its products destined for markets such as Asia and South America.
With operations starting in late 2021, the new factory has WEG motors throughout the plant, featuring the American standard IEEE841. This ensures higher reliability, better corrosion resistance, and extended lifespan, both for safe and classified areas.

The Motors Are Present in Various Applications in This Plant, Such as Pumps, Fans, Exhausters, Conveyors, Agitators, Mixers, Among Others.
The 288 WEG motors are present in various applications in this plant, such as pumps, fans, exhausters, conveyors, agitators, mixers, among others. Easy installation, low vibration levels, and high mechanical precision make the WELL (WEG Extra Long Life) motors highly suitable for the food industry, while also featuring a paint scheme to withstand the corrosive environment caused by pectin.
The plant also acquired two W60 motors with 1316hp. With a compact, lightweight, and modular design, these motors are suitable for industrial applications such as compressors, pumps, and fans.
The New Cargill Factory Also Features WEG Transformers and Gearboxes
Additionally, the factory in Bebedouro operates with WEG transformers of 15,000kVA and 45kVA and WEG-CESTARI gearboxes, ensuring quality and stability of the processes.
Reducing energy consumption and optimizing industrial processes is WEG’s goal in providing a complete portfolio with solutions for various segments.
