Toyota leads vehicle resale in Brazil in 2026 with models like Corolla and Hilux showing low depreciation.
Toyota achieved prominence in the Brazilian market by leading the resale value ranking in 2026, based on a study by Suiv, commissioned by Quatro Rodas magazine. The analysis compared the prices of zero-kilometer vehicles in January 2025 with the values of used cars after 12 months, identifying the brand as the manufacturer with the highest number of models with the lowest depreciation. Among the highlights are Corolla, Hilux, SW4, and Corolla Hybrid, which led their categories.
Toyota leads resale ranking with four models in 2026
Toyota’s performance was consolidated in the Best Resale 2026 award, where the brand achieved first place in four different categories.
The models that led their segments were:
-
BYD has just shown an electric supercar with over 1,000 horsepower that accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in less than two seconds, faster than any Ferrari, and the battery charges from 10% to 97% in just 9 minutes, with an expected arrival in Brazil still in 2026.
-
New Honda Civic: RS hybrid version debuts with 181 hp, S+ Shift system that simulates gears without a manual transmission, 2.0 engine with two electric motors, price of R$ 153 thousand, and sporty look inspired by the Prelude draws attention
-
An engine that consumes 40% less gasoline than the average new car already exists and runs on 100% renewable fuel that costs only 10 cents more per liter at Repsol stations.
-
From Argo to Montana: check out the used cars with reliable automatic transmission that cost less than R$ 100 thousand in Brazil
- Corolla (mid-size sedan)
- Hilux (mid-size pickup truck)
- SW4 (SUV up to R$ 500k)
- Corolla Hybrid (hybrids up to R$ 350k)
These results reflect the comparison between Fipe table values in 2025 and prices practiced in the used car market one year later.
Below-average depreciation highlights Toyota vehicles
In addition to the top positions, other vehicles from the brand also performed better than the market average. Models like the Corolla Cross Hybrid and RAV4 Hybrid had lower depreciation compared to competitors.
For example, the Corolla showed 0% depreciation in the analyzed period, while the segment average was -6%. The Hilux registered -4%, against an average of -12%. These numbers reinforce Toyota’s consistency in the vehicle resale market in Brazil.
According to Maurilio Pacheco, commercial director of Toyota do Brasil, the brand’s focus goes beyond the initial sale.
“We put the customer at the center of our decisions. That’s why we work to ensure they have a good experience, not just at the time of purchase, but throughout their journey with the brand.”
According to him, factors such as predictable service prices, low maintenance costs, and reliability directly contribute to high resale value.
Toyota invests in after-sales to maintain vehicle value
One of the pillars of Toyota’s strategy is after-sales. The brand offers specific programs that help maintain the value of vehicles over time.
Among the main services are “Revisão Facilitada” (Simplified Service), with fixed prices for scheduled maintenance, and Toyota 10, which extends the warranty to up to 10 years at no additional cost, including for used cars.
Furthermore, the brand’s structure includes over 300 dealerships in Brazil and a specialized maintenance network.

Another highlighted point is logistical support. The parts center located in Sorocaba (SP) has the capacity to process over 1.1 million items per month.
This structure allows for faster component replacement, contributing to vehicle maintenance and customer satisfaction.
According to Jorge Mussi, general manager of after-sales at Toyota do Brasil, this care strengthens the relationship with the consumer. “We believe in the importance of building lasting relationships with our customer,” he stated.
The study results reinforce Toyota’s position as a benchmark in the vehicle resale market in Brazil. The combination of low depreciation, an extensive service network, and after-sales strategies contributes to the brand’s performance.
With well-positioned models in different categories, the manufacturer maintains consistency in market value over time, a factor considered decisive by consumers at the time of purchase.
