Yamaha Neo’s 2026: The Arrival of the Brand’s First Electric Scooter

Yamaha has officially announced the arrival of the Neo’s 2026, its first electric scooter produced in Brazil.

Manufactured at the Manaus (AM) plant, the Neo’s 2026 represents the brand’s entry into the electric vehicle segment in the country.

With a modern and minimalist design, the model was developed to meet the needs of urban commuting, offering advanced connectivity and practical features for everyday use.

Design and Features: Comfort and Practicality

The Neo’s 2026 showcases a look that combines clean and contemporary lines, standing out with rubberized frames that protect the scooter from minor impacts.

The ergonomic seat provides comfort to the rider, while the space under the seat accommodates either an open or closed helmet, depending on the battery configuration.

Additionally, the scooter features storage compartments, such as a front storage box and a hook on the handlebar, making it easier to transport small items.

Motor and Performance: Power and Range

Equipped with a synchronized three-phase excitation electric motor, the Neo’s 2026 reaches a maximum power of 2.4 kW (3.3 hp) and a torque of 135.3 N.m (13.8 kgfm).

The system is powered by two removable lithium batteries, each with a voltage of 50.4 V and a capacity of 23.2 Ampere-hour (Ah).

The batteries can be charged directly on the scooter or at home using a two-pin outlet.

The full charge time is approximately 9 hours, while a charge from 20% to 80% takes about 5 hours.

Riding Modes and Range: Control and Economy

The scooter offers two riding modes: STD (standard) and ECO (economical). In STD mode, the rider has access to the full power of the motor, providing a more dynamic driving experience.

In ECO mode, energy economy is prioritized, extending the scooter’s range.

With both batteries installed, the Neo’s 2026 achieves a range of up to 71 km, according to data from Yamaha validated by the WMTP measurement cycle.

The maximum speed of the European model is 45 km/h; however, Yamaha has not disclosed the maximum speed of the Brazilian version.

Technology and Connectivity: A Complete Digital Dashboard

All lighting on the Neo’s 2026 is LED, ensuring greater energy efficiency and visibility.

The digital dashboard with LCD screen displays information such as speedometer, odometer, clock, and connectivity indicators, allowing the rider to receive notifications for messages and calls, as well as monitor the status of the connected smartphone battery.

The scooter is also compatible with the Yamaha Motorcycle Connect app, the Y-Connect, which offers additional connectivity and monitoring features.

Suspension and Brakes: Comfort and Safety

The Neo’s 2026 has a front suspension with a 90 mm telescopic fork and a rear suspension with an 84 mm swing arm.

The braking system consists of a 200 mm disc on the front wheel, with hydraulic activation, and a mechanical drum on the rear wheel.

The tubeless tires have dimensions of 110/70 -13 in the front and 130/70-13 in the rear, ensuring stability and grip during riding.

Price and Availability: The Arrival of Colors and Competitive Pricing

The Yamaha Neo’s 2026 will be available in e-BLUE (Matte Blue), e-BLACK (Metallic Black), and e-WHITE (Metallic White), all featuring black wheels.

The suggested price is R$ 33,990, plus freight and insurance. The warranty offered is 2 years for the scooter and the batteries.

The scooter will start arriving at dealerships in February 2025, marking Yamaha’s entry into the electric vehicle market in Brazil.
