The new factory, inaugurated on Friday, 21st, was equipped with state-of-the-art instruments for manufacturing solar panels and will generate more than 1.500 direct and indirect jobs
Last Friday, the 21st, the inauguration of the largest solar panel factory photovoltaics in Brazil, from the Sengi Solar industry. The ceremony was attended by Governor Carlos Massa Ratinho Júnior at the site where the new unit is located, in Cascavel, in western Paraná. The venture received investments of R$ 220 million and will generate more than 1.500 direct and indirect job opportunities.
The new solar panel factory was built with state-of-the-art automated equipment and has a production capacity of 3.600 modules per day, which represents 500 MWp (peak megawatts) per year.
Operating in three shifts, the factory has the potential to develop a photovoltaic panel every 23 seconds. With this volume, the photovoltaic panels manufactured in the industry will be able to generate 63 GigaWatts-hour per year.

HOW DOES SOLAR ENERGY WORK?
Point to Paraná!
Ratinho Junior says that, in addition to the state-of-the-art technology included in the solar panel factory, it also works as a showcase for Paraná, which is one of the main producers of clean energy in Brazil.
“It is a source of pride for our State to have an industry like this, which, in addition to generate many jobs, also helps with sustainability. Paraná was elected the most sustainable state in Brazil, and projects like this one help to consolidate this position”, he said.
The governor also highlights the immense support of the State Government for the generation of sustainable energy, with projects aimed mainly at rural properties, such as the Renova Paraná program.
available technology
With national product engineering and support in research and innovation, Sengi Solar produced a line of highly efficient and durable products. Photovoltaic solar panels are developed with inputs from suppliers from different parts of the world.
The installation of the factory in Cascavel should also boost the reindustrialization of Brazil with a focus on products of the future, says the president of the Tangipar Group companies, Daniel da Rocha.
The Tangipar Group, controller of the new unit, believes that the increase in demand for inputs industrialized for the manufacture of solar modules enables new factories linked to the supply chain of silicon, glass, polymers and metallurgy.
