Viabilization of Trasnordestina Will Boost Port of Suape
According to the CEO of the Port of Suape, Roberto Gusmão, the establishment of the minerals terminal in Suape is an important milestone for the economy of the state.
“We are the main port in the Northeast and a cargo hub, currently distributing loads via road transport and cabotage. With the railway network, the port will be able to handle everything from soybeans from Matopiba, the region between the states of Tocantins, Bahia, Piauí, and Maranhão, to fruits from São Francisco and gypsum from the Sertão do Araripe, as well as integrate loads such as fuels, cooking gas, containerized cargo, vehicles, among other goods, consolidating its integration into the region’s logistics network,” he said.
