The Federal Institute of Education, Science, and Technology of Southern Minas Gerais (IFSuldeMinas), in partnership with the State Secretariat of Culture and Tourism of Minas Gerais (Secult-MG), is now accepting applications for two new free courses. The initiative aims to train professionals and those interested in the tourism sector, offering an opportunity for those who wish to specialize in the field.
There are 650 spots available divided between the courses “Event Organization: From Concept to Execution” and “Religious Tourism: Strategies and Techniques for Managers and Professionals”.
Classes and Requirements for the Free Courses
The training courses, offered in a distance learning format (EaD), have a workload of 40 hours and are aimed at residents of Minas Gerais aged 16 years or older with completed elementary education. Graduates will receive certificates at the end of the program, adding value to their professional resumes.

This offer is part of the Knowledge Routes Program, resulting from the partnership between IFSuldeMinas and Secult-MG. Continuing the actions carried out, the program plans to open approximately 5,000 spots in 15 new courses throughout this year. Last year, the initiative offered 1,500 spots across the state.
Content and Objectives of the Free Courses
The course “Event Organization: From Concept to Execution” provides 400 spots and focuses on training professionals capable of planning, organizing, and executing social events, prioritizing safety measures and responsible socio-environmental practices.
The course “Religious Tourism: Strategies and Techniques for Managers and Professionals” offers 250 spots. Its goal is to train professionals to work in the planning, management, and execution of activities related to religious tourism. The course also promotes the appreciation of the cultural and religious heritage of Minas Gerais as an attraction for sustainable local development.
How Will the Selection Process Work?

Registrations remain open until February 3 (access here), with classes scheduled to take place between February 10 and March 23.
