The meeting that took place this Wednesday, 28, at the Anchieta Palace in Vitória between the State Governor, Renato Casagrande, and the management of the Café Cacique Group, brought good news for Linhares. More than 200 direct jobs and 600 indirect jobs will be generated, particularly in the construction sector. The state has a promising future; recently, Petrobras President Roberto Castello Branco said that Petrobras will transform into a company based in ES, RJ, and SP by 2022.
According to the government, the company will build a soluble coffee plant in the municipality of Linhares, with an investment of approximately R$ 300 million.

The forecast is that at the peak of construction, 300 workers will be needed. Job opportunities will be for positions such as bricklayer, construction foreman, carpenters, and others.
The investment announcement was made about a year ago. However, the company’s groundbreaking is scheduled for October 25. Operations are expected to begin in early 2021.
The company’s CEO, Júlio Cesar Grassano, stated that once operational, the company will generate 235 direct jobs and 600 indirect jobs, requiring the hiring of additional positions such as mechanics and electricians. “When operations begin, technical professionals will be necessary,” he emphasized.
According to the Secretary of Development of Linhares, Luiz Fernando Lorenzoni, local labor will be prioritized, and the selection of candidates for the construction jobs at the factory will take place through the SINE, shortly before the start of the work.
“We are working to diversify the municipality’s economy to rely less on oil royalties. This resource should only be used for infrastructure,” explained the secretary.
The governor highlighted the importance of installing large companies and generating jobs in the state. “The biggest problem in this country is inequality, and the way to tackle this challenge is by generating jobs and opportunities. Having companies setting up in our state increases family income and makes Espírito Santo fairer, more equal, and more competitive,” said Casagrande.
