Flotel Safe Concordia docks at Porto do Açu in São João da Barra – RJ, for maintenance, awaiting a new offshore campaign, the unit that was under contract with Norwegian Equinor will undergo maintenance.

Prosafe and Porto do Açu signed a contract for the unit to be sheltered at the site for six months, a period that may be extended for up to one year.

During this six-month period in which the flotel will be moored at Porto do Açu, in São João da Barra (RJ), Prosafe will take advantage of this “warm stacking” regime to carry out maintenance operations on the unit.

The flotel has been under contract with Equinor since January, supporting maintenance and safety services at the Peregrino FPSO, in the Campos Basin, off the coast of Brazil.

The flotel was released by Equinor after completing its contractual support activities. The contract lasted 120 days and was up to date throughout the quarter.

According to Prosafe, the company did not expect Equinor to extend the contract, since the Norwegian had the option to extend the agreement until July and did not manifest itself.
