A 2W Expands Its Anemus Wind Complex with an Additional 50 MW Operational, Establishing Itself as a Leader in Renewable Energy in the Free Market.
A 2W continues to invest in renewable energy, expanding its Anemus Wind Complex with an additional 50 MW released for commercial operation. This action reinforces the company’s commitment to promoting a more sustainable and clean energy matrix, harnessing the natural resources available in the country.
With the addition of these new 50 MW of wind energy, 2W further solidifies its position as a leader in sustainable energy in the free market, meeting the growing demand for renewable energy sources. Furthermore, the company already has more than 1,200 SMEs on its client list, demonstrating market confidence in its expertise in the sector.
New Anemus Wind Complex Boosts Renewable Energy Market
In May 2024, Aneel gave the green light for the start of commercial operation of 50.4 MW of installed capacity of the Anemus Wind Complex, located in Rio Grande do Norte. This project includes the activation of 50.4 MW in generating units UG1 to UG3, totaling 12.6 MW from Anemus Wind 1; and from UG1 to UG9, reaching 37.8 MW from Anemus Wind 2.

While the world still relies on polluting and slow energy, the island of Samsø in Denmark has started producing 40% more energy than it consumes, with 11 turbines, projects of up to 40 million euros, and a sustainable revolution built by just 4,000 inhabitants.
Benefits of Renewable Energy for Brazil
The Anemus Wind Complex is located in the northeastern desert landscape, covering about 3,700 hectares. Composed of three wind farms, it features 33 wind turbines that add up to approximately 139 MW of installed capacity.
All energy generated by Anemus Wind will be allocated to the Free Market, contributing to the democratization of access to 100% renewable energy in the country. Furthermore, the operation of this wind complex will play a crucial role in reducing greenhouse gas emissions, helping Brazil meet its environmental commitments.
Expansion of the Renewable Energy Market in Brazil
With the release of this phase of the Anemus Wind Complex, 2W strengthens its position as a major player in the clean and sustainable energy sector. The company reinforces its commitment to ambitious environmental goals, providing complete and sustainable solutions for its clients in search of a greener future.
The CEO of 2W, Claudio Ribeiro, highlights the importance of wind energy as an inexhaustible renewable source, underscoring the relevance of sustainable actions in the energy sector.
Commitment to a More Sustainable Future
In addition to the Anemus Wind Complex, 2W is in the process of constructing the Kairós Wind Complex, located in Icapuí, Ceará. Set to be inaugurated by the end of 2024, this project will feature 58 wind turbines and approximately 261 MW of installed capacity.
It is estimated that the Kairós Wind Complex will be able to supply power to about 670,000 homes, resulting in a reduction of approximately 460,000 tons of CO2 in the atmosphere.
