Before Leaving Brazil, Ford Had Adaptation of the Brazilian Jeep Troller to the 2.0 Biturbo Diesel Automatic Powertrain with 10 Gears in Advanced Stage When It Decided to Kill It.
After Ford’s exit as a vehicle manufacturer established in Brazil, the multinational decided to continue here only as an importer starting in 2021, leaving our Troller T4 with a shameful end, as both the brand and the jeep, which are of Brazilian origin, should be extinct.
The last unit left the factory in Horizonte (CE) at the end of September 2021 and was sold for R$ 300,000. The complex continued to operate until the end of November to produce replacement parts for the remaining units on the streets.
Ford Will Not Cede Rights Over the Brand, and Jeep Troller Will Be Extinct
The American company has already announced that it did not cede the rights over the brand or the utility vehicle. And as no one has shown interest in buying it, its most likely fate is death. Even sadder was discovering that there was an important update planned for the 2022 line of the jeep, which would have been applied this year had Ford not given up on it.

This information came to light on the Mustang7G forum, formed by fans of the muscle car. At the time, it was one of the most commented topics on the page on LinkedIn, by a Brazilian engineer who works on global projects at the multinational Ford, found by one of the forum members.
The focus of the discussion is on details that the engineer disclosed regarding the S650 project, which will generate the seventh generation of the Mustang. The profile described the development of two old-new engines for the sports coupe, the 2.3 four-cylinder inline and the 5.0 V8.
The most interesting one was scheduled for 2023, with a V8 engine — probably the same as the Mach 1 — and another electric forming a completely distinct set from the Mustang Mach-E. There were also plans for a hybrid Mustang with a 2.3 engine. The information was confirmed by QUATRO RODAS, and there are no discrepancies either in terms of dates or in acronyms and other checked data.

Troller with Ranger Raptor Engine and Mustang Transmission
Instead of the 3.2 five-cylinder turbodiesel engine and the six-speed automatic transmission from the Ranger pickup, with 200 hp and 47.9 kgfm of torque, the Ford Troller jeep would use a 2.0 four-cylinder biturbo diesel engine with 213 hp and 51 kgfm.
The most interesting part is that, in this pickup configuration, the transmission is a ten-speed automatic, just like the current Mustang Mach 1 sold in Brazil.
But the product development specialist abandoned the project at the end of last year, around the same time the decision to close Ford’s factories in Brazil was made.
Since then, the Mustang project has gained momentum and continues to advance. The Troller, on the other hand, has closed its doors, but without Ford having given up its commercial rights. But will the T4 with Ranger Raptor engine ever come to fruition?

A velha prática do dumping. Quebrar a concorrência.
