Learn A Simple And Natural Technique To Clean The Microwave Without Aggressive Chemical Products, Using Only Items Like Vinegar, Lemon, And Baking Soda.

Keeping the microwave clean is essential to ensure food safety and avoid the buildup of residues that can compromise the appliance’s functioning. Fortunately, there are natural and effective ways to perform this cleaning without resorting to aggressive chemical products.

Simple methods can remove dirt, grease, and unpleasant odors using common ingredients found in the kitchen.

Vinegar is one of the most efficient allies in household cleaning. In addition to being accessible and safe, it has antibacterial and degreasing properties.

Baking soda also plays an important role, helping to eliminate stains and stubborn residues.

The combination of these ingredients with steam makes it easier to remove dirt, leaving the microwave clean without much effort.

Method with Vinegar and Steam

To clean a microwave with vinegar and baking soda, you will need a few materials:

  • White Vinegar
  • Baking Soda
  • Dish Soap
  • Water
  • A Cloth or Sponge
  • A Heat-Resistant Container
  • A Plate for Support

Step by Step

  1. Fill a microwave-safe container with 1 or 2 cups of water. Add 1 or 2 tablespoons of white vinegar.
  2. Place the container inside the microwave and close the door.
  3. Turn on the microwave at maximum power for 5 minutes.
  4. If the microwave is very dirty, keep the door closed for another 5 minutes after the time is up. This will help the steam work better in removing the dirt.
  5. Carefully remove the container, as it will be hot.
  6. Remove the turntable and wash it with warm water and mild dish soap to eliminate any grease residue.
  7. Mix a small amount of baking soda with water until it forms a paste. Use this solution to scrub the inside walls of the microwave with a soft cloth or sponge.
  8. Wipe down with a damp cloth to remove any remaining residue.
  9. Finally, dry all surfaces well with a dry cloth or paper towel.

Benefits of This Method

This process offers several advantages beyond efficient cleaning. Vinegar eliminates unpleasant odors, while baking soda removes tough stains without scratching the interior surface of the appliance.

Moreover, the method contains no toxic substances, making it safe for health and the environment.

Regularly performing this cleaning helps keep the microwave in good condition, preventing the buildup of dirt that can compromise its functioning.

The ideal is to perform this maintenance at least once a week, especially if the appliance is heavily used.

If you haven’t tried this technique yet, it’s worth testing. It’s an economical, practical, and efficient solution!
