Audi Q6 E-Tron and Sportback Without Camouflage! Spies Catch Electric SUVs with Protective Coating.
An interesting fact is that Audi has been selling the Q6 for over a year, but only in China. However, in 2024, Audi will globally launch the Audi Q6 E-Tron, which will be fully electric and built on the PPE platform in collaboration with Porsche. The electric car has already been spotted without any camouflage, anticipating its launch.
Observant watchers will notice that we are looking at two prototypes of the Audi Q6 E-Tron. One of them is the conventional Q6 E-Tron model, while the other is the Q6 E-Tron Sportback, featuring a coupe-style design and sloped roof. Both prototypes are production-ready, showcasing 99% of the exterior design. Additionally, as part of the partnership between Audi and Porsche, Porsche will also launch its own version in 2024 with a fully electric Macan.
New Audi Q6 E-Tron: The Future of Electric Vehicles
The classic style of the E-Tron; if you think it looks like an enlarged Q4 E-Tron, you’re not alone. Audi is not taking risks with the design of its two new electric vehicles instead of presenting something bolder. In its defense, the Q6 E-Tron seems to have better proportions than the Q4 E-Tron, but everyone has their opinion.

Although paparazzi could not see the interior, as the Q6 E-Tron models were photographed from a distance, Audi has already revealed its cabins. As expected for an EV that will be launched in 2024, both will share an interior with many screens, featuring an 11.9-inch OLED display for the driver, a central screen of 14.5′ and a 10.9′ screen for the front passenger. Naturally, both electric vehicles will be more spacious than the smaller Q4 E-Tron models, which are based on the less sophisticated MEB architecture.
Expectations for the Audi Q6 E-Tron and Q6 E-Tron Sportback
When we drove a prototype in July, Audi told us that there would be variants of the Q6 and SQ6 with a dual-motor setup and a 100 kWh battery. The regular model will have an estimated output of 375 horsepower, while the more powerful version will have 483 hp, with a temporary boost to 510 hp. The SQ6 will need less than four and a half seconds to reach 60 mph from a standstill.
Audi stated that the new Q6 models will be approximately the same size as the gasoline-powered Q5, but with shorter overhangs and a longer wheelbase. This will be made possible by a dedicated electric platform. Adaptive air suspension has been confirmed, along with an 800-volt electrical system and regenerative braking. The electric vehicles have been developed to support a maximum charging power of 270 kW, in which case it will take about half an hour to recharge the battery from 10 to 80%.
The Robustness and Reliability of the Audi Q6 E-Tron
Arriving next year, the Audi Q6 and SQ6 will have to face strong competition from day one, taking on the Mercedes-Benz EQE SUV and the AMG EQE SUV. Audi’s newcomer is already confirmed for Brazil.
