Civil Construction in Maranhão
The civil construction sector has one of the broadest production chains encompassing the segment of suppliers of raw materials, construction equipment, and related service sectors. In Maranhão, this sector contributes significantly to the economic composition, mainly through job and income generation for the population.
In recent years, civil construction has shown good performance, having recorded the largest participation, primarily through Federal Programs, highlighting the Growth Acceleration Program in Minha Casa Minha Vida, which positively impacted this sector.
The civil construction sector in Maranhão has also experienced intense growth due to the establishment of retail networks and shopping centers. This has led to an increase in business, enterprises, property offers, job creation, and income. The expectation is that civil construction will continue at a reasonable pace of activity in Maranhão.
