A BMW E30 Was Found After 30 Years Abandoned Inside a Building. See What This Classic Is Like and What Experts Say About Its Conservation!
Few things are as satisfying as seeing a dirty car being cleaned. But, in this case, the story goes beyond aesthetics. A BMW E30 was rescued after spending nearly 30 years in an abandoned and dangerous building.
The American team from the WD Detailing YouTube channel decided to take on the challenge of restoring the vehicle – and the process was not easy at all.
BMW E30 Was Found in an Unstable Building
The BMW 3 Series is a European classic and a coveted model in the US. But, like many classic cars, some have been forgotten. This particular E30 was found in a very unsafe location.

The building was already showing clear signs of deterioration. Rotted floorboards, holes in the ground, and compromised structure made the rescue risky.
Still, the restorers found the BMW in a garage amidst the debris. The plate with the number “EWW” was still there, but the condition of the vehicle was lamentable.
When attempting to tow it, a problem arose: the rear wheel seemed stuck and damaged, making removal difficult. Nevertheless, the car was loaded and taken to a safer destination.
The First Cleaning of the BMW in 30 Years
At WD Detailing’s office, the team began the cleaning process. It was not a simple job, but it was necessary. Using specific products, they cleaned every part of the BMW – body, interior, and even the engine.
The result was impressive. What once looked like a piece of junk started to regain its original appearance. And it wasn’t the first time the team had done something like this. On another occasion, restoring a Dodge Challenger 340 was so rewarding that the owner became emotional.
The Fate of the Car
Despite the effort, the BMW E30 will not return to the streets as before. The car will be dismantled, and its parts will be reused.
“Our friend Bryan has an E30 and needs some parts. The rest of the car will be used by someone else and will continue to exist in some way,” said the restorers.
Thus, the BMW that spent three decades forgotten in an abandoned building will gain a new purpose – and, at least, it was not discarded as mere trash.
