According to the bank, the parks will be installed in the municipalities of Jandaíra, Lajes, and Pedro Avelino and are set to start operating throughout 2022.
The complex will have a capacity of 319.2 megawatts, enough to supply 800,000 households, BNDES reported in a statement.
According to BNDES, each wind farm will have a Special Purpose Entity (SPE) and will be controlled by MV Holding, controlled by EDP Renewables Brazil, part of the EDP Energias de Portugal group.
The bank’s financing corresponds to 70% of the total investment.
Joint Venture Between Engie and EDP Renewables
Engie (EGIE3) and the electric power company, a branch of the Portuguese EDP, EDP Renewables, have concluded an agreement to create a joint venture in offshore wind energy.
The new company will have both fixed and floating operations, according to the statement released. The information was published last Friday (24).
The signing of the deal comes eight months after Engie and EDP Renewables announced a memorandum of understanding for the formation of the partnership, which “brings together the industrial expertise and development capacity of both companies,” according to the statement.
