New BNDES line releases up to R$ 21.2 billion for trucks, buses, and road implements and can change the game for companies, freelancers, and transport cooperatives in Brazil
BNDES opened on Friday (29) the protocol for financing requests for BNDES More Mobility, a credit line of up to R$ 21.2 billion aimed at renewing the national fleet of trucks, buses, and road implements. The measure already injects new money into the market for companies, freelance transporters, and cooperatives seeking to replace vehicles and expand operations.
According to agenciainfra.com, the program is part of Move Brasil – Trucks and Buses, also called Move Brasil 2, and will be operated through accredited financial agents. The promise is to finance everything from trucks and truck tractors to buses, minibuses, and road implements.
The line’s design also allocates resources for specific audiences. Of the total authorized, R$ 14.5 billion will come from the National Treasury and up to R$ 6.7 billion will be BNDES’s own resources. Within the program, R$ 2 billion have been reserved for buses and minibuses and another R$ 2 billion for freelance and cooperative transporters.

Financing can reach up to R$ 50 million per client

The bank informed that the financing could reach R$ 50 million per client, with a term of up to 120 months for freelance transporters and passenger transport companies. Interest rates may be close to 13% per year.
In practice, the line was designed to give a boost to those who need to renew the heavy fleet without bearing the full cost of the purchase at once. The possibility of extending the payment up to 10 years tends to weigh in the decision of those who work with transport and depend on the vehicle running to generate revenue.
Program accepts new vehicles and part of the semi-new fleet
BNDES More Mobility allows the purchase of new vehicles of national manufacture. In the case of freelance and cooperative transporters, the program also opens space for the acquisition of semi-new trucks and truck tractors manufactured from 2012 onwards.
This difference is important because it broadens the reach of the line for profiles with more difficulty accessing new vehicles. At the same time, the focus remains on renewing the heavy fleet, a sensitive point for the transport sector in a country that heavily depends on road transport.
First phase has already exceeded R$ 9.7 billion in credit
The launch of the new stage comes after the first phase of Move Brasil recorded more than R$ 9.7 billion in financing between December 2025 and May 2026, with 15,600 trucks financed. The numbers help measure the scale that the program has already reached even before this new round of requests.
With the opening of the protocol, BNDES expands the window for those who want to renew vehicles and access credit under specific conditions for heavy transport. Now, the attention is on the speed of contracting and the demand for this new line, which arrives with a billion-dollar volume and direct focus on the fleet that travels the country’s roads.
If you follow transport, infrastructure, and credit, it’s worth keeping an eye on the program’s next moves and sharing this news with those who can benefit.
