The master's and doctoral grants are valid for the duration of the course, costing 850 euros per month and an extra fixed amount of 20 euros. Additional benefits of up to 86 euros are also available for health and nursing insurance.
The Rosa Luxemburgo Foundation awards grants in all disciplines to doctoral students, except for medicine, dentistry and veterinary medicine. The financing lasts for two years, but has the possibility of being extended, with a monthly grant of 1300 euros.

What are the selection criteria and how to apply?
Applicants for the master's or doctoral scholarship must have above-average academic performance, political and social engagement that are in line with the objectives and goals of the Rosa Luxemburgo Foundation, an understanding of the German language (level B2 or higher) and personal/family background
For the candidate to be able to compete for one of the Rosa Luxemburgo Foundation scholarships, he must present the following documents, all in PDF format:
- Submit a certificate of enrollment/admission to a state-recognized German higher education institution, stating the university semesters completed and the course of study of the subject. Without this information the certificate will not be considered.
- Possess letters of recommendation from university professors about your ability to perform and study. It must be in German or English and does not have a template.
- Professional resume: resume in tabular form (in German or English with the complete educational path).
- copy of the largest educational qualification, such as a baccalaureate certificate or intermediate diploma, with an indication of the final grade. In case it is not available in German or English, the candidate must have a translation not certified)
- Certificate that you have German language skills and understanding at least at the B2 level, even if studies in English are completed.
- University course information such as Transcript of Records; grades; performance overviews; Intermediate certificates.
In addition, the candidate for a master's or doctoral scholarship must have evidence of social commitment, demonstrating that he is in accordance with the values of the foundation. For example, means that prove your involvement with political groups, parties, unions, clubs, university committees and NGOs.
Scholarship applicants must have a copy of their passport and must apply for a study visa for Germany or a residence permit in the country. When applying for the scholarship, if it is not possible to present the documents, the deadline for the student to send the visa/authorization is April 1, 2023.

Get to know the Rosa Luxemburg Foundation
The Rosa Luxemburgo Foundation was founded in 1990 and represents a non-profit institution linked to the Left Party (Die Linke). It has its headquarters in Berlin, Germany, supporting research, studies and publications on various topics, such as gender, agrarian issues, human rights, transparency and democracy.
Fellows receive, in addition to financial support, other types of support, such as political education events, summer courses, workshops inside and outside Germany, symposiums and trips. The Rosa Luxemburgo Foundation also prepares practical training in areas such as rhetoric, conflict management and other skills.
