Gasoline Prices Rise in Europe and Demand for Cheaper E10 Fuel (Gasoline with 10% Ethanol) Grows in European Countries.
Brazil Sets Record for Ethanol Exports to Europe! This year, up to August, about 427 million liters of the biofuel have been shipped to European countries, as foreign markets appear more attractive than domestic ones, according to S&P Global Commodity Insights analysis. The information comes from the Reuters news agency.
And it doesn’t stop there: S&P’s analyses indicate that by the end of 2022, Brazil is expected to export 600 million liters of ethanol to Europe. Brazil’s previous record was set in 2010 when it exported 477 million liters to the continent.
The increase in Brazilian ethanol exports occurs at a time when the biofuel sector is responding to lower prices in Brazil and rising demand in Europe, making overseas shipments more attractive for producers.
