During Recordings of the 2026 Season, the Chef Comments on the Border with Humor, Highlights Distinct Experiences Between Brazil and Argentina, and Reinforces the Visibility of Foz do Iguaçu in National Tourism
During a visit to Foz do Iguaçu to record the new season of the show Hell’s Kitchen, Chef Érick Jacquin turned a tourist visit into a topic among travelers. In a video released by the official profile of the Iguaçu National Park, the famous cook praised the Falls, took a humorous tone when commenting on the border, and stated his preference for the Brazilian side.
Declared Preference with Good Humor
The statement occurred right at the entrance of the Brazilian walkway, on the path that leads visitors to the front of the huge wall of waterfalls, at the base of the Garganta do Diabo.
Surrounded by mist and the intense sound of water, Jacquin posed the question that often divides opinions: “Is it more beautiful in Brazil or Argentina?.” He then answered: “I prefer to stay in Brazil to see right in front.”

Friends have been building a small “town” for 30 years to grow old together, with compact houses, a common area, nature surrounding it, and a collective life project designed for friendship, coexistence, and simplicity.

This small town in Germany created its own currency 24 years ago, today it circulates millions per year, is accepted in over 300 stores, and the German government allowed all of this to happen under one condition.

Curitiba is shrinking and is expected to lose 97,000 residents by 2050, while inland cities in Paraná such as Sarandi, Araucária, and Toledo are experiencing accelerated growth that is changing the entire state’s map.

Tourists were poisoned on Everest in a million-dollar fraud scheme involving helicopters that diverted over $19 million and shocked international authorities.
Without fueling rivalries, the chef relativized the comparison. “But everyone has their own opinion, each with their own life. But I think it’s much more beautiful in Brazil.”
Among greetings to tourists, he kept the atmosphere light by suggesting they “greet the Argentines on the other side.”
Complementary Views on Both Banks
The observation resonates with the distinct experience offered by each side of the Falls. In Argentina, a walkway of about 1,100 meters extends over the Iguaçu River to the edge of the Garganta do Diabo, providing a superior view, where visitors observe the abyss from above.
On the Brazilian side, the route places the audience in front of the falls, with the water flowing towards them, creating an immersive sensation.
Filming and Itinerary in the City
The agenda in Foz included filming for the 2026 season of the show, which began last Monday (09) and ended this Thursday (12). The local episode of Hell’s Kitchen 2026 was filmed at Tio Ali Restaurant in Vila A.
The production also captured images of tourist attractions that will appear in the final episodes of the season, scheduled to premiere on February 24 on Band.
During the stay, Jacquin visited the Itaipu Binacional and the Marco das Três Fronteiras, where he highlighted the condition of the tripartite border between Brazil, Argentina, and Paraguay. The itinerary also included a panoramic helicopter ride over the Falls with Helisul.
Tourism in Evidence
The statement comes at a time of strong visibility for the destination. In 2025, the Iguaçu National Park received 2,020,359 visitors, a historical record.
In the same period, the Iguazú National Park in Argentina recorded 1.5 million visitors, the highest number in its history.
The episode filmed in Foz do Iguaçu is scheduled to air in May, reinforcing the city’s presence in the television and tourism calendar, as well as broadening the friendly debate about which side offers the most remarkable experience.
