Historical Event Strengthens Brazil’s Strategic Role in the Global Market

Global leaders from XCMG, the largest manufacturer of heavy machinery in the world, will be in Brazil on September 16, 2025, at 5 PM, at Um Rooftop in São Paulo.

They will participate in the Brazil Productive event, organized by the Grupo Extra Máquinas, which has a presence in Mato Grosso, Pará, Goiás, and São Paulo.

The meeting will gather authorities, entrepreneurs, and representatives from the production chain to discuss innovation, sustainability, and new investments in the sector.

Presence of the Company’s Top Leaders

Among those confirmed are Yang Dongsheng, CEO & Chairman of XCMG Group, Li Hanguang, President of XCMG in Brazil and South America, and Tian Dong, Vice-General Manager of the region.

The visit of the top leaders reinforces the multinational’s commitment to Brazil and South America.

The company has been expanding its presence through investments in technology, business expansion, and sustainability.

The program will include thematic panels, business meetings, and presentations of solutions that reflect XCMG’s global strategy.

The focus will be on productivity, energy efficiency, and industrial innovation, connecting different sectors and encouraging new strategic partnerships.

Brazil as a Protagonist in the Global Strategy

For Pérsio Briante, CEO of Grupo Extra Máquinas and ambassador of the event, the realization of Brazil Productive XCMG is more than a corporate meeting.

He considers the event a historical milestone for the integration of Brazil and China, which expands business opportunities, technology, and innovation.

The cooperation between the nations strengthens the production chain involving producers, miners, builders, logistics operators, and machinery manufacturers.

Thus, the meeting reinforces Brazil’s role as an economic and technological protagonist in Latin America.

XCMG’s Growth in Brazil and the World

According to Amanda Machado, Director of New Business at XCMG, advancements in Brazil are reflected not only in job creation but also in continuous innovation.

In 2021, the company grew 210% compared to 2020 and thus achieved a revenue of R$ 1 billion, reinforcing the confidence of the national market.

Currently, investments are concentrated in strategic sectors such as mining, construction, and cranes, thus proving the company’s solidity in its sustainable expansion plan.

The strategy remains aligned with the global decarbonization agenda and, therefore, prioritizes electric, hybrid, and connected equipment, ensuring competitiveness in light of new environmental demands.

Since 2011, the presence in Brazil has expanded with dealership networks, strategic branches, and strengthened after-sales services, which consolidated the brand’s trust and reach nationally.

International Trajectory and Historical Relevance

Founded in 1943 in the city of Xuzhou, Jiangsu province, XCMG started as a repair factory for mechanical equipment related to the military industry.

Later, in 1989, it consolidated as XCMG Group by unifying several factories in the region and, furthermore, significantly expanded its organizational structure.

In 2012, it opened an industrial park with over 2 million m² in China and thus established itself as one of the largest in the sector.

Shortly thereafter, in 2016, it ranked among the top ten manufacturers in the world in the construction machinery segment, thereby strengthening its global presence.

In 2023, it made the Fortune Global 500 list and, in 2024, achieved the fourth position worldwide according to the Yellow Table ranking.

Today, the multinational operates in 190 countries and simultaneously employs around 30,000 employees, sustaining its leadership in the Chinese market for 34 years.
