Complete Schedule and Sustainability
The tours will take place twice a day throughout the fair. In addition, visitors will receive detailed information about sustainable materials and processes, as well as insights on the future of the industry and market trends for the year 2025. The company presented three main products at Interplast: the CG800NAQ, DPR 010AW, and DRL 007A resins.
Thermal Resins CG800NAQ and DPR 010AW
The CG800NAQ is a copolymer polypropylene resin, ideal for frozen food packaging, offering excellent processability and impact resistance at low temperatures. The DPR 010AW, also derived from polypropylene, contains post-consumer recycled material and stands out for its exceptional processability and flow rate of 50 g/10 min.
DRL 007A and CINTEC Plastics Congress
Another important product is the DRL 007A resin, intended for flexible packaging and incorporating post-consumer recycled material. In addition to these products, Braskem will also participate in the CINTEC Plastics Congress 2024, scheduled for the event, with an exclusive lecture on August 15, discussing the journey of sustainability for mono-material packaging.
Plastic Transforms Movement and Partnerships
Braskem will also present the Plastic Transforms Movement, an initiative in partnership with Abiplast. The project highlights how plastic, combined with innovation and responsibility, can shape the future. Since 2016, the initiative promotes the importance of plastic in everyone’s daily life. Additionally, the company will be present at the 3rd Circular Economy Forum on August 14 and 15.
Circular Economy Forum
The event at Expoville, in Joinville, will feature Pier Pesce, Circular Economy Business Development Manager at Braskem, who will talk about chemical recycling and its impacts. ‘Chemical recycling is vital for creating high-quality raw materials and ensuring more efficient waste management, promoting the circular economy,’ emphasizes Pesce.
Circular Design and DfE Methodology
Another highlight at the forum will be Yuri Tomina, head of Cazoolo, Braskem’s circular packaging design lab. He will participate in a roundtable discussion about the role of design in creating sustainable packaging, using DfE (Design for Environment) methodology, which aims to minimize environmental impact and improve the recyclability of materials.
PVC Technical Forum
In August, Braskem will also organize the PVC Technical Forum in Joinville, bringing together clients from various sectors to share market information and technical content about the material’s life cycle, new developments, and global trends. ‘We will address relevant topics, from application to sustainability,’ explains Antônio Rodolfo Jr, Application Engineering and Market Development Manager at Braskem.
Legal Framework for Sanitation
The Forum will also discuss the Legal Framework for Sanitation, a fundamental law to improve basic sanitation capacity in Brazil by 2033. ‘It is crucial to discuss this topic to understand its impacts and opportunities,’ adds Rodolfo Jr.
