Task force in Viana expands free issuance of the National Identity Card in July, with limited tickets, night service, and a Saturday edition. Service requires updated documentation, follows order of arrival, and serves residents who face difficulty securing a spot through traditional channels.
Residents of Viana, in Greater Vitória, will have free and walk-in service to issue the National Identity Card (CIN) in task forces held throughout July 2026, at the É Pra Já Multiuse Center in Marcílio de Noronha.
In total, the Viana City Hall plans 310 tickets distributed on a first-come, first-served basis, with service aimed at people aged 14 and over and organization defined by date, time, and daily service capacity.
The initiative exclusively serves residents of the municipality and seeks to expand access to the new identification document, which gradually replaces the old RG model throughout the country.

Published by the city hall on June 30, 2026, the schedule includes services on weekdays in the evening and a Saturday edition to facilitate the presence of those who cannot attend during traditional business hours.
Task force for the new identity will have service in July
According to the schedule provided by the municipality, services will take place on July 2, 9, 18, and 30, 2026, always with a limit of tickets to organize the flow of residents on site.
On Thursdays, July 2, 9, and 30, the service will be held from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m., with 70 tickets distributed on each of these three nights of service.
For Saturday, July 18, 2026, the city hall reserved the largest number of slots on the calendar, with service from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. and offering 100 tickets.
With this distribution, the municipality concentrates more services on the only day of weekend operation, which can help residents who work during business hours or have difficulty seeking the service at night.
The issuance will be carried out at the É Pra Já Multiuse Center in Marcílio de Noronha, with no need for prior online booking, but within the operational limit set for each date of the task force.
Even without an appointment, the service will follow the order of arrival, which requires organization from residents before traveling and attention to the start time of ticket distribution.
In practice, those who intend to request the document must go to the location, take a ticket, and wait for the teams responsible for data verification and application opening to call them.
Before leaving home, the guidance is to gather all the required documents, as the absence of any mandatory item may prevent the request for the new identity during the task force.
Who can request the National Identity Card
The municipal action covers residents of Viana aged 14 years or older, according to the rules released by the city hall for the new round of in-person services for the National Identity Card.
In the case of adolescents under 16 years old, the service will only be provided with the presence of a legal guardian, who must also present an identification document at the time of the request.
This requirement allows for the validation of the minor’s data and ensures that the application is opened with appropriate supervision, especially when the request involves updating records or first issuance.
To request the CIN during the task force, the resident must present an updated birth or marriage certificate, CPF, and two recent 3×4 photos, within the official standard required by the teams.
Another point highlighted by the city hall is that photos taken by cell phone or printed from electronic devices will not be accepted, making it essential to bring physical images that meet the requested standard.
During verification, divergent data or outdated documents may hinder issuance, as the new identity now uses the CPF as the main basis for national identification.
Therefore, residents who intend to take advantage of the task force should check if the information on the certificate and CPF is correct, avoiding travel without the ability to complete the service.
New RG uses CPF as a unique number
The National Identity Card was adopted in Espírito Santo based on Decree No. 10.977, dated February 23, 2022, and brought an important change in the civil identification of Brazilians.
Among the changes, the new model uses the CPF as the national identification number, replacing the old state RG number and reducing the possibility of different records for the same person.
In Espírito Santo, the issuance of the document is the responsibility of the Institute of Identification of the Scientific Police, responsible for procedures related to civil identification in the state.
With standardization, the CIN aims to simplify citizen recognition in public and private services, in addition to integrating national identification with a single number valid throughout the country.
Despite the gradual change, the Scientific Police of Espírito Santo informs that it is not necessary to immediately replace the old document, as the previous models remain valid for a defined period.
Identity documents issued before the CIN standard remain valid until March 1, 2032, according to the guidance published by the responsible state agency.
After issuance, the digital version of the National Identity Card becomes available in the GOV.BR app, expanding the ways to present the document in everyday situations.
For old documents issued in Espírito Santo after May 8, 2023, digital access can occur through the RG Digital Espírito Santo app, according to the rules informed by the Scientific Police.
City Hall wants to reduce waiting time for service
According to the City Hall of Viana, task forces carried out in recent months resulted in the issuance of more than 600 identities in the municipality, a number used by the management to justify the continuation of the action.
The new round in July reinforces this in-person service and attempts to reduce difficulties faced by residents who cannot secure appointments through traditional identity scheduling channels.
In an official publication, Mayor Wanderson Bueno stated that the document represents access to employment, income, and dignity, when commenting on the opening of new dates for CIN issuance.
The statement was released in the municipal announcement of the task force, along with the service schedule, participation rules, and the number of tickets planned for each day.
In the residents’ daily routine, the identity may be necessary to seek job opportunities, access public services, verify registration data, or resolve issues in schools, banks, and official agencies.
Even so, the expansion of service does not eliminate the daily limit, as each edition of the task force will have a defined capacity and closure conditioned to the distribution of available tickets.
As demand tends to concentrate at the start of service, especially in actions without scheduling, prior organization can avoid wasting time and unnecessary travel.
Those who depend on the document should consider the required documentation, operating hours, and the number of tickets for each date before choosing the best day to attend.
Free service will be without scheduling, but with a daily limit
The free service and lack of scheduling make the task force an alternative for residents facing difficulties with conventional channels, especially during periods of high demand for the new identity.
On the other hand, the order of arrival requires planning for those who depend on public transportation, work during business hours, or need to bring teenagers accompanied by a legal guardian.
Throughout July, the dates are divided between evening services on Thursdays and an edition on Saturday, a format designed to reach audiences with different routines.
This model expands the in-person offering but maintains the need to attend in advance, as the service will end when the total number of tickets planned for each day is distributed.
The exchange for the new document does not need to be done urgently by all citizens, as the old ID remains valid within the period informed by the state agency.
Even so, residents who need to update data, access the digital version, or issue the first copy of the CIN can take advantage of the municipal action according to the disclosed rules.
With limited tickets, the requirement for updated documents, and service only for Viana residents aged 14 and over, the task force is expected to attract those seeking to resolve issuance without relying on online scheduling.
