LG portable speaker arrives in Brazil focusing on parties, karaoke, and unplugged use, featuring long battery life, artificial intelligence, synchronized lighting, and sound partnership with well-known names in the audio and international music market.

In Brazil, LG Electronics announced the LG xboom Stage 501, a portable Bluetooth speaker aimed at parties, karaoke, and use in indoor or outdoor environments, with a battery lasting up to 25 hours, artificial intelligence, and audio developed with the participation of Peerless.

With sound refinement by will.i.am, the model expands the brand’s audio portfolio in the country and bets on power, mobility, synchronized lighting, and automatic functions to transform different spaces into shared music playback environments.

The speaker appears on the Brazilian LG website with 220 W RMS in plugged-in mode and 160 W in battery mode, in addition to two 5.25-inch woofers and two 2.5-inch full-range drivers.

Karaoke with AI and pitch adjustment

Among the most striking features is the AI Karaoke Master, a tool that transforms songs into karaoke tracks by separating and reducing vocals in real-time, without requiring an external app or pre-prepared files for this type of playback.

In practice, the experience is enhanced with the Key Changer, a function that adjusts the pitch of songs for different voices and allows switching between the original track and the instrumental version directly through the speaker controls.

According to LG, the proposal reduces the dependency on traditional karaoke systems, which usually require vocal-free tracks, microphones, or dedicated apps, although the product page itself states that the microphone does not accompany the Stage 501.

Sound refined by will.i.am and drivers by Peerless

In the sound department, the Stage 501 uses the LG xboom signature refined by will.i.am, an artist and music producer also known for his role in the Black Eyed Peas and projects related to technology.

To form the acoustic set, the manufacturer also adopted components developed by the Danish company Peerless, combining 5.25-inch woofers and 2.5-inch full-range drivers to deliver bass, midrange, and treble in different environments.

We combined sound power, long battery life, and AI-based features to create an experience capable of accompanying different moments of celebration, indoors or outdoors,” said Marcos Choi, audio device specialist at LG Electronics Brazil.

Battery of up to 25 hours has specific condition

One of the main attractions of the launch is the autonomy of up to 25 hours, but this maximum time was measured by LG itself in internal tests in Long Play mode, with volume at 50% and lighting off.

Therefore, actual performance may vary depending on usage conditions and chosen settings, especially when the user keeps the volume high, lighting active, or AI features running for long periods.

The battery has a capacity of 99 Wh, takes about three hours to recharge, and can be replaced, but the official Brazilian page states that the extra battery is not included and is sold separately.

Lighting, automatic calibration, and Auracast

In addition to karaoke, the Stage 501 brings AI features aimed at equalization and visual effects, such as AI Sound, which analyzes the content being played and adjusts the audio for music, podcasts, or voices.

To create visual effects during playback, AI Lighting synchronizes lights and colors with the rhythm of the music, offering automatic ambiance for parties and gatherings without the need for manual adjustments for each track.

Space Calibration Pro uses artificial intelligence, sensors, and automatic equalization calibration to adapt playback to the environment, a feature designed to improve sound results in indoor or outdoor areas.

Another relevant function is Auracast, which allows connecting multiple compatible speakers to expand sound coverage, provided that Party Link is configured via the Smart Button menu in the LG ThinQ app.

Portable design and IPX4 resistance

In daily use, LG highlights four positioning options for the Stage 501: vertical, horizontal, reclined, or on a tripod, a solution designed to adapt sound and lighting to the available space on each occasion.

Transport is handled by the integrated handles, while the IPX4 certification ensures resistance to water splashes from any direction for at least 10 minutes, according to the manufacturer’s technical description.

In the official specifications, the model also features Bluetooth 5.4, two 6.3 mm microphone inputs, a 3.5 mm auxiliary input, USB-C, hands-free, multipoint, Google Fast Pair, and support for the LG app for Android and iOS.

LG xboom Stage 501 in Brazil

In the announcement of the launch, LG informed that the Stage 501 would be available for pre-order on the brand’s official website and would soon arrive at partner physical stores, without detailing a specific date for in-store retail.

With a long battery life, AI karaoke, automatic lighting, and power of up to 220 W when plugged in, the Stage 501 enters the Brazilian market targeting consumers looking for a portable speaker for larger parties and shared use.

With so many artificial intelligence features in a portable speaker, does traditional karaoke still have a place at parties, or is it starting to lose ground to models like the LG xboom Stage 501?
