Registrations Open for the Caern Exam, Offering Over 690 Positions for Candidates with Technical and Full Higher Education.
The Water and Sewage Company of Rio Grande do Norte (Caern) published the announcement for its public exam aimed at filling positions at the technical and higher levels. In total, there are 33 immediate positions and 660 opportunities for reserve registration. The initial salaries reach R$ 8,700.

Technical Level
Environmental Control Technician
- Positions: 6 + 120CR;
- Salary: R$4,198.11;
- Requirements: technical high school in Environmental Control and National Driver’s License.
Building Technician
- Positions: 6 + 120CR;
- Salary: R$4,198.11;
- Requirements: technical high school in Building, with registration in the professional council.
Instrumentation Technician
- Positions: 6 + 120CR;
- Salary: R$4,198.11;
- Requirements: technical course in Industrial Automation, Electronics, Electro-electronics, or Mechatronics, registration in the corresponding class council of the area of expertise.
Mechanical Technician
- Positions: 6 +120CR;

- Requirements: technical high school in Mechanics, with registration in the professional council.
Higher Level
Lawyer

- Requirements: completed higher education in Law.
Civil Engineer

- Requirements: higher education in Civil Engineering, with registration in the professional council.
Electrical Engineer

Registrations for the Caern Public Exam
Those interested in participating in the Caern public exam must register from November 16 to December 20, on the Idecan website, the organizer. The registration fees are R$ 100 for technical level positions and R$ 120 for higher level positions. The payment slip can be paid until December 21.

Candidates registered in CadÚnico, bone marrow or breast milk donors, or called and appointed by the Electoral Justice could request the registration fee between November 16 and 17. It is worth mentioning that a category B driver’s license is mandatory for all positions. In addition to the salaries mentioned above, those who are approved will have benefits such as:

How Will the Public Exam Tests Be?
The Caern exam will consist of objective tests, essay tests, and title evaluation. The tests will be held in the cities of Caicó, Mossoró, and Natal, in the State of Rio Grande do Norte. The estimate is that the tests will take place on February 25, 2024, containing 50 multiple-choice questions. The questions will be distributed among the subjects of:
- Knowledge in the field of training;
- Public Sanitation Legislation and in Public Administration relevant to the job;
- Logical Mathematical Reasoning;
- Portuguese Language;
- Basic Computer Knowledge.
Candidates will take the essay tests on the same day as the objective tests. The essay test will consist of one question regarding the subject in the specific knowledge syllabus. The validity period of the exam will be two years, counted from the date of approval of its final result, and may be extended only once for an equal period.
