Celsius Tech Limited has received its 12th Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) carrier. The vessel, Celsius Galapagos, was built by Samsung Heavy Industries (SHI) from South Korea. This event marks an important step for the company, which already has nine more ships under construction.
The New Eco-Efficient Ship of the Fleet
The Celsius Galapagos, with a capacity of 180,000 cubic meters, is the latest addition to the growing Celsius Tech fleet. The company, in a social media post, highlighted the eco-efficient design of the new vessel. The ship was delivered by the renowned South Korean builder Samsung Heavy Industries.

This 12th ship is seen by Celsius Tech as a reflection of its team’s strength. Recent Delivery History to the Fleet
The arrival of the Celsius Galapagos occurs three months after the 11th ship joined the fleet. The Celsius Galway, also an LNG carrier of 180,000 m³ built by SHI, was the penultimate to be integrated. Before it, the 10th ship, Celsius Granada, was received at the end of September 2024.
Strategic Partnership and Future of the Fleet Under Construction
Founded in 2019, Celsius Tech operates as a joint venture. It is formed by Celsius, a Danish shipping company, and Fleet Management, based in Hong Kong. The entire fleet of Celsius Tech consists of LNG carriers with a capacity of 180,000 m³. According to the company’s website, the future of the fleet includes nine more ships with the same capacity currently under construction. Of these, three are being built by Samsung Heavy Industries and six by China Merchants Heavy Industries.
