Strategic Importance for the Air Sector
The CPOAAS gained even more relevance starting in 2025, as it became a mandatory requirement for the renewal of the Auxiliary Air Transport Service Regularity Certificate (CRES). This change reinforces its role in standardizing and improving practices in the sector.
According to the president of Abesata, Ricardo Aparecido Miguel, “this training is an important step to strengthen the safety culture in ground operations. With the CPOAAS becoming a criterion for the renewal of the CRES, we are taking another step towards excellence and standardization of ground handling practices in Brazil, now with the collaboration of Cenipa”.
Program Content and Methodology
Divided into five modules, the CPOAAS covers essential topics such as:
- Functioning of SIPAER (System for Investigation and Prevention of Aeronautical Accidents)
- Role of the human factor in the system
- Prevention tools
- Use of the Unified Notification Portal
- Operational Safety Management System (SMS)
- Safety in ground support operations
With 40 hours of workload, the course is self-instructional and flexible, allowing each participant to study at their own pace within the stipulated period.
Dates, Deadlines, and Class Format
The course will take place from September 22 to November 14, 2025. Registrations must be made by September 2. The list of selected candidates will be announced on the 19th of the same month.
The classes are completely online, allowing access to professionals from all regions of the country without the need for travel.
Rules for Participation and Enrollment Confirmation

It is necessary for the request to be confirmed directly with Cenipa by the agency or company to which the interested party is linked, following the criteria of TCA 37-23.
For self-instructional courses such as the CPOAAS, simply filling out the electronic form will make the enrollment valid. However, requests made after the deadline will be automatically discarded.
How to Enroll in the Free Online Course?
Interested parties should access the following address: https://sistema.cenipa.fab.mil.br/cenipa/cursos and fill out the Electronic Enrollment Form. It is recommended not to wait until the last minute to increase the chances of participation.
