With Internal Cameras and Smart Sensors, New Refrigerator Promises to End Waste and Change Your Kitchen Routine
Samsung has just announced the arrival of a new generation of refrigerators in the Brazilian market. More than just appliances, the newly launched models promise to become the command center of the connected home, integrating artificial intelligence, food recognition, and interactive interfaces. With touchscreens of up to 32 inches, personalized voice recognition, and control of devices via SmartThings, these refrigerators herald the beginning of a new phase in the relationship between technology and the home environment.
The brand’s proposal is clear: transform the refrigerator into a true automation hub. The concept goes beyond food preservation and bets on a complete experience, where the user can watch videos, control appliances, check the family calendar, and even receive recipe suggestions based on the items stored in the refrigerator. It’s the union of connectivity, practicality, and sophistication—all from the kitchen.
With a modern look and premium finish, the available models include French Door and Side-by-side versions, with a capacity of over 540 liters and internal design optimized by SpaceMax technology. The target audience? From large families to technology enthusiasts seeking practicality and innovation in their routines.

Technology That Recognizes What’s Inside the Refrigerator
One of the main highlights of this new line is the food recognition system powered by artificial intelligence. Through internal cameras and computer vision algorithms, the refrigerator can automatically identify up to 37 types of food, including fruits, vegetables, and packaged items. As soon as a new product is added or removed, the system logs the change and updates the internal inventory. In cases where the food is not recognized, the user can manually identify it.
This feature allows the refrigerator to suggest recipes based on available ingredients and alert about the proximity of expiration dates for certain items. The system also sends reminders to the user’s phone and helps compile shopping lists, optimizing time and reducing waste.
Another interesting feature is voice interaction. With support for the Bixby assistant, the refrigerator recognizes different profiles through Voice ID. This means that each family member can have a personalized experience: the screen displays personal schedules, photos, specific recommendations, and even accessibility settings tailored to each profile. The technology also allows commands to be executed, such as activating energy-saving mode, starting quick cooling, or finding the user’s smartphone.
Additionally, the cooling system of the new models has been enhanced with the introduction of AI Hybrid Cooling, which combines an inverter compressor with additional thermoelectric cooling modules. The result is a significant reduction in temperature fluctuations and better preservation of food. This technology also contributes to lower energy consumption, thanks to AI-optimized efficiency.
An Entertainment and Automation Hub in the Kitchen
The second major advantage of the line is the integrated screen, which ranges from 9 to 32 inches, depending on the model. The 9-inch version, called AI Home, is ideal for those seeking a compact and functional control panel. The Family Hub models, with 21.5 or 32 inches, offer a complete entertainment experience.
From the screen, it’s possible to access streaming platforms, mirror the smartphone screen, browse the internet, follow recipes step-by-step, or simply listen to music while preparing meals. It’s also possible to monitor internal cameras in the house, control lights, check the energy consumption of connected devices, and even trigger the laundry cycle—all integrated into Samsung’s SmartThings ecosystem.
The company bets on this versatility to attract not only more connected consumers but also those who want to make daily life more practical and intuitive. The idea is to transform the refrigerator into a multifunctional panel that acts as a personal assistant, family organizer, and home command device.
Sophisticated Design and Focus on Energy Efficiency
Even with so many technological features, the brand did not compromise on aesthetics. The new refrigerators arrive in Brazil with a minimalist design, matte finishes, and different color options, including customizable versions. The internal lighting system uses high-efficiency LEDs, which save energy and improve visibility.
The Digital Inverter compressor, with a 20-year warranty, ensures durability and low noise. The smart energy-saving system analyzes usage habits and automatically adjusts operation to reduce electricity consumption without compromising performance. As a result, the models from the new line have achieved the highest ratings in energy efficiency.
Although prices are still in the premium range—with starting values around R$ 24,000—the technological appeal, focus on sustainability, and added value of features make the investment seen by many as a bet on the future of home automation.
This new generation of refrigerators represents a turning point in the role of appliances in the home. From passive storage items, refrigerators now become active assistants, capable of learning, interacting, and transforming the relationship between technology and everyday life.
