Main Differences of the ‘Chevrolet Corsa’ from Mexico
In the Mexican automotive industry, the Corsa was sold as Chevy, becoming known as the Chevy C2 when it underwent its first facelift, which is much more extensive than the hatch’s facelift in Brazil.
The differences lie in the front end, which replaced the oval headlights with a larger droplet-shaped optical assembly, while the front grille also grew and now features a trim piece in the body color.

Chevy C2 Receives Its Second Facelift

The air conditioning controls and seats were also from the Corsa B. The Chevrolet Corsa from Mexico underwent another facelift in the automotive industry in 2009, when it adopted a look inspired by the Chevrolet Aveo, another popular hatch in the Mexican market.
It featured a large front grille, something that was repeated in Brazil at the time with the arrival of the then-new Chevrolet Agile. In addition to the larger front grille with the brand’s golden logo in the center, the headlights grew in size and rose up to the hood this time.
At the rear, the updates included the taillights, which now lacked the circular elements, while the rear featured the new Chevrolet emblem. Notably, the 14-inch alloy wheels were the same as those of the Classic post-2010 and Brazilian Prisma.
Chevrolet Corsa from Mexico Delivered 78 hp of Power
It is worth mentioning that, while the famous first-phase Corsa in Brazil was sold only with 1.0, 1.4, and 1.6 engines, the Chevy C2 from the Mexican automotive industry always featured the 1.4 engine with 52 hp of power and the 1.6 engine with 78 hp. There was even the option of an automatic transmission there, something that was exclusive to the first-phase Corsa Sedan here.
In Mexico, the Chevrolet Chevy C2 stopped being sold in 2010, the year when the Chevrolet Classic underwent its last visual update in Brazil, gaining the same look as the Chinese version.
