Finally a competitor for Volkswagen! New electric minivan from Chinese automaker promises to “take on” ID.Buzz from giant Volkswagen

Zeekr, a Chinese manufacturer of high-end electric vehicles, is ready to launch its newest electric van model, the Zeekr Mix. Common futuristic design and impressive power, the electric minivan appears as a potential competitor of Volkswagen's iconic electric Kombi, the ID.Buzz. Although still there is no information about its availability In the Brazilian market, Zeekr Mix already arouses great curiosity and expectation, according to the Quatro Rodas website.

The look of the Zeekr Mix electric van is marked by an unconventional design, somewhat reminiscent of the front of the old Citroën C4 Picasso. You tapered and darkened headlights, interconnected from one side to the other, give the model a modern and unique appearance. The side and the rear are clean, with built-in door handles, highlighting only the diamond-plated alloy wheels, the rear spoiler and the lights below the rear window.

Electric van dimensions and platform

At 4,68 meters long, 1,95 meters wide, 1,75 meters tall and with a wheelbase of 3 meters, the Zeekr Mix electric van is smaller than the competitor Kombi, but not much. The electric van model is built on Geely's Sustainable Experience Architecture platform, parent company from Zeekr, and will feature an 86 kWh battery with 800 volt technology, capable of charging up to 360 kW. Autonomy has not yet been announced.

Power and performance

To power the minivan, Zeekr equipped the Mix with an impressive 416 hp electric motor, surpassing the performance of the VW ID.Buzz, which has 270 hp in normal versions and up to 335 hp in GTX versions. This power promises an exciting and efficient driving experience.

Zeekr has not yet announced the prices of Mix, but it is likely that it will initially only be sold in China. However, there are reports that the company plans to expand the model's availability to other markets, which could include Brazil.

A new era of minivans

The Zeekr Mix represents a new era of electric minivans, combining innovative design, advanced technology and high performance. Its potential to compete with established models, such as the VW ID.Buzz, promises to shake up the global automotive market.
