Two of the most emblematic monuments on the planet officially formalized, on May 28, a cultural cooperation agreement that officially brings Brazil and Italy closer together.

The Sanctuary of Christ the Redeemer, located in Rio de Janeiro, and the Colosseum Archaeological Park, in Rome, signed a twinning document at the Italian archaeological site itself.

The initiative establishes a permanent network of cooperation focused on culture, tourism, education, sports, and economy. Information released by the institutions involved also highlights the strengthening of dialogue between peoples and the promotion of a culture of peace.

The ceremony brought together the rector of Christ the Redeemer, Father Omar, the director of the Colosseum Archaeological Park, Simone Quilici, and the Brazilian ambassador to Italy, Renato Mosca.
