To start the new phase on the right foot in the biofuel market, the company implemented Citrix solutions, from operations to the office and industry. In total, there are 1,500 licenses for the Virtual Apps solution with peaks of 900 to 1,000 people online at the same time in the environment all the time.
In the first phase of the biodiesel plant project with Citrix, completed in 2007, the cooperative faced serious difficulties with maintenance in the IT sector regarding costs, updates, and operations in external environments. A lot of time was wasted on configurations that took weeks, whereas today everything is done in a matter of hours.

“For over 12 years, Cocamar has been betting on Citrix technologies to enhance the user experience and empower its staff through digital workspaces, and this plant would be no different. With the demands of the pandemic and the imperative of remote work, Cocamar was one step ahead, ready to work safely from anywhere,” says Luciana Pinheiro, director of Citrix.
Cocamar Now Has A Specialized Structure For The Acquisition Of Ethanol From Plants And Its Distribution To Distributors
The Superintendent of Business, Anderson Bertolleti, observes that the new activity in the biodiesel market, besides being an opportunity for tax gains through ICMS recovery, contributes to increasing the cooperative’s revenue, projected at R$ 5.8 billion in 2020.
Regardless of the fluctuations in biodiesel consumption, whose competitiveness is at the mercy of the ups and downs of gasoline, ethanol has a consolidated and exponential market in the country, due to being obtained from renewable sources: sugarcane and, to a lesser extent, corn.
One of the first clients of the Ethanol Trading Company is Raízen Combustibles (Shell), which purchased 500,000 liters. The expectation is to further consolidate the Cocamar name in this market, seeking more partners and business opportunities, according to the commercial manager of fuels, Cléverton Ruffo.
