Launch and Proposal
The Tornado Special Edition is built on the XR 300L platform launched in 2024, adopting exclusive graphics and a themed paint job aligned with off-road use.
According to Honda, the idea is to reinforce the “root trail” positioning, focusing on versatility on asphalt and capability on dirt tracks.
The version’s debut coincides with a series of innovations confirmed by the manufacturer, in a strategy to expand the adventurous portfolio in the country.
Engine and Performance
The mechanical set retains the 293.5 cm³ OHC single-cylinder, air-cooled, already known from CB 300F Twister and XRE 300 Sahara.
In the Tornado, the tuning favors off-road use: 24.8 hp with ethanol (24.3 hp with gasoline) at 7,500 rpm and 2.74 kgfm (ethanol) or 2.70 kgfm (gasoline) at 5,750 rpm.
The transmission is a six-speed with an assisted and slipper clutch.
Honda also reports a dry weight of 143 kg.
Suspension and Chassis
To tackle trails, the Tornado uses a 41 mm telescopic fork with 245 mm of travel in the front and a Pro-Link rear suspension with 227 mm of travel.
The semi-double cradle steel chassis is derived from the CRF 250F, a solution adopted by the brand to deliver robustness and cycling efficiency, with 21-inch front and 18-inch rear wheels.
The setup was tuned for quick steering changes and good impact absorption off-road.
Brakes and Safety

The disc brakes on both wheels operate with two-channel ABS.
Independent evaluations indicated that the system does not allow deactivating the ABS, not even on the rear wheel, something that some trail riders consider useful in specific situations.
Dashboard and Equipment
The digital dashboard has direct reading and concentrates essential information for the off-road proposal, including gear indicator, odometers, and consumption data.
The full LED lighting — headlight, tail light, and turn signals — is standard.
Honda also highlights the flat seat, the skid plate, and the ergonomics designed for transitioning between urban use and trails.
Dimensions, Tank, and Ergonomics
The official measurements confirm the adventurous focus: 2,201 mm in length, 828 mm in width, 1,298 mm in height, and 1,429 mm wheelbase.
The seat height is 890 mm, with a 268 mm ground clearance, reference figures in the segment.
The tank holds 13.8 liters, with a reserve of 3.7 liters, aiding in autonomy on long journeys.
What Changes in the Special Edition
Although Honda has not detailed technical differences for the special edition, the manufacturer indicated that the Tornado Special Edition will feature paint and graphics inspired by the Dakar winning CRFs.
The idea is to reinforce the racing identity, without altering the on-off proposal of the model.

So far, there is no official information on mechanical changes beyond the visual.
Price in Stores and Fipe Reference
As with other models from the brand, the Suggested Public Price may differ from the value practiced at dealerships.
A good benchmark is the Fipe Table: in October 2025, the average price of the XR 300L Tornado 2025 appears at R$ 32,381 in Brazil.
This value serves as a reference for negotiations but may vary by region and availability.
Other Confirmed News
Besides the Tornado special edition, Honda indicated that CB750 Hornet and XL750 Transalp will arrive this year.
For 2026, the line will feature the CG 160 Titan Special Edition, CB1000 Hornet — including the SP version — and GL 1800 Gold Wing Tour 50th Anniversary in the first half of the year.
This launch is part of a package presented to the network at the beginning of October.
Finally, the Tornado 300 Special Edition arrives to add to a niche that emphasizes mechanical simplicity, long-travel suspension, and components suitable for those who split their time between city and dirt.
For you, is the edition with rally identity and streamlined package sufficient to tackle trails and light trips, or is there some equipment that would make a difference in your use?
