Who Can Receive
Bolsa Família is intended for families with a monthly income of up to R$ 218 per person. To calculate, simply divide the total income by the number of residents. If the amount falls below this limit, the family may receive the benefit.
The program also requires counterparts. Children and adolescents must attend school. Pregnant women need to maintain prenatal care. And the whole family must have up-to-date vaccinations.
Registration and Transactions
The first step to receive is to enroll in the Cadastro Único (CadÚnico). It serves as a government tool to include low-income families in social programs.
However, registration does not guarantee automatic entry. Each program has its own rules and criteria.
After approval, the amounts can be accessed via the Caixa TEM app or internet banking. Thus, it is not necessary to go to a branch.
Withdrawals can be made at self-service terminals, lottery outlets, Caixa Aqui correspondents, and agencies.
According to Caixa, it is also possible to use the program card for purchases in debit function. This increases practicality and reduces the need for travel to make withdrawals.
