BYD Forecasts the Creation of 5,000 Jobs with the Installation of a New Industrial Hub in Bahia
BYD, known as Build Your Dreams, a prominent Chinese manufacturer and global leader in the production of electric vehicles, recently announced the opening of an industrial hub in the state of Bahia, for the production of electric trucks and bus chassis. This massive investment promises to open new horizons for Brazilian professionals, creating around 5,000 job openings in the coming years.
An Extraordinary Growth in the Talent Pool
The announcement made last Tuesday was met with enthusiasm. BYD’s talent pool saw an avalanche of applications, totaling over 20,000 resumes in just 24 hours. A clear indication that the demand for job openings in the company is quite high.
The automaker plans to invest approximately 3 billion reais in the construction of three factories in the municipality of Camaçari, in the metropolitan region of Salvador. With production expected to start in the second half of 2024, these units represent a significant milestone in the expansion of BYD’s electric trucks in Brazil.
