Requirements vary according to the position, but, in general, include completion of a higher-level course, registration with a professional body when applicable, and meeting specific criteria such as age and driving license. TRAFFIC AUTHORITY AGENT – REQUIREMENT: Diploma of completion of a higher-level course, registered, provided by an educational institution recognized by the Ministry of Education – MEC. National Driving License – definitive or provisional driver's license in the minimum category AB, aged between 18 and 50 years, not having committed a very serious traffic violation in the last 12 months, not serving a penalty of suspension of the right to drive and, when fulfilled, having elapsed 12 months, not serving the penalty of revocation of the license document and, if fulfilled, 24 months of rehabilitation having elapsed.
SYSTEMS ANALYST – REQUIREMENT: Diploma of completion of an undergraduate course in Information Systems, registered, provided by a higher education institution recognized by the Ministry of Education (MEC).
TRAFFIC ANALYST – REQUIREMENT: Diploma of completion of a higher education course, registered, provided by an educational institution recognized by the Ministry of Education – MEC.
TRAFFIC ASSISTANT – REQUIREMENT: Diploma of completion of a higher education course, registered, provided by an educational institution recognized by the Ministry of Education – MEC.
COUNTER – REQUIREMENT: Diploma of completion of a higher-level course in Accounting Sciences, registered, provided by an educational institution recognized by the MEC and registration with the professional body.
CIVIL ENGINEER – REQUIREMENT: Diploma of completion of an undergraduate course in Civil Engineering, duly registered, issued by a higher education institution recognized by the Ministry of Education (MEC), and registration with the professional body.
TRAFFIC EXAMINER – REQUIREMENT: Diploma of completion of a higher education course, duly registered, issued by an institution recognized by the MEC. Minimum age of 21 years. Two years of qualification compatible with the category to be examined. Traffic instructor course.
PEDAGOGUE – REQUIREMENT: Diploma of completion of an undergraduate course in Pedagogy, duly registered, issued by an institution recognized by the MEC.
What the Detran 2024 competition tests will be like
In addition to the objective test, candidates may go through up to six stages, depending on the position sought. These include Qualifications Test, Psychotechnical Examination, Medical and Toxicological Examination, Criminal and Social Investigation, and, for some, a Training Course.
